Almost 2 years since I got my license  7 bikes in 2 years ain’t bad :D
Only 7? You're due a new one soon surely? :p

I passed 3 years ago, time flies!! 'Only' 3 bikes for me in that time, 4 if you count my 125 :D

Working it out the other day I think I'm on around 45k miles covered since my CBT in April 2014, 3.5 years ago.

Had my nerve root injection (in my spine) 7 days ago, so I was looking forward to getting back on the bike and comfortable but Mother Nature stuffed that idea :(

It’s been hovering around 0C, -1C every morning for the past week and whilst the past few days has seen some tidy sun in the afternoon, I can’t even get out of the estate without the car squirming like a corner politician. The council don’t grit our road so any moisture lingers forever in this weather.

Don’t get me wrong I’d planned to ride it all year but I don’t fancy dropping the bike at 5mph and not have the ability the lift the bike up (doc said no strenuous work).

Sucks.

Trust me riding all year round is seriously over rated, if I could drive a car I wouldn't go any where near my bike over winter!.

100% agree with this! Biking on this weather is nothing short of depressing wondering if you're going to be face first on the tarmac before you've even noticed the ice or not :o

Depends where you live though, oop north and yeah I can imagine it gets pretty dodgy, however down here in the warm south east it's never below 1-2 degrees in the mornings (at 8am anyway), I've never seen ice on the roads I use.

Yeah the roads get greasy and there's not a huge amount of grip, but I have no issues riding year round down here.

We are in the middle here, between north and south so we have good weather most of the time.

I’d prefer a very cold dry morning to rain/ice.

I love those spring days when it’s sunny and around 16’c but with no humidity, it’s the perfect riding weather and I’d love it year round.

You can't beat the insane grip you get when it gets above 30 degrees though.

Was down the coast today weather was fine and a good few bikes out a few of use will down Christmas day watching the women charity swimming :D

This afternoon was decent weather for a ride, roads had dried out and it was relatively mild. Looks like it's going to be mild until Friday as well, so hopefully a few less squeaky bum moments on my commute.

I’ve done a 180 on my next bike, I’m now thinking of dropping down to an MT-09 or something similar, would obviously miss the electronics and the power but I reckon I could have just as much fun on one.

Plus I’ll pocket close to 4K too.

That’s partly why I want to move away from my current bike, it’s fast, stupidly fast but it feels like there is something missing, there’s no excitement anymore.

I think a v4 would solve my problems, loads of torque, great sounding engine, lots of feedback from the bike but I reckon I’d have to add more money on top of my bike to get a decent bike.

I reckon if I’m lucky I could push for £8200 for mine but not this time of year. Maybe in the spring leading into summer but I don’t want to wait that long :p

I could shift it now and then when the spring comes around, start searching then.

I’ve been down this road so many times though :p

You can't ride that spare £4k though. Unless you blow it all on hookers.

Sounds like you need something with some character, V2, V4, triple etc.
