Gigabyte 980ti Xtreme Waterforce voltage issues?

Evening all,

Recently purchased a 980ti Waterforce from the MM here, and having a play around with it. All seems to be running fine, nothing odd that I've noticed, but GPU-Z is showing:

PerfCap Reason VRel - so performance is being capped by voltage reliability. This is running straight just plugged in, no playing with overclocking by me. Any clues?

There are two 8-pin power connectors that I've plugged in, but there's also a 6-pin one for LN2...would plugging the 6-pin in when there's no LN2 provide more stable power or just bork the card?

PSU is a SuperFlower Golden Green HX 650W non-modular, so should be plenty powerful enough for this card.

Hugh

99% sure this means nothing and will be shown on most gpus @ load.

If you are worried about performance all you need to do run a few benchmark and see if you have similar scores systems like yours.

Edit*

I just checked and loaded up a game on my 1080 and it says Vrel for me as well.

Vrel means the clock is boosting to the highest it can for that voltage. I assume by reliable they mean that any higher clock might be unreliable/unstable.

Totally normal behaviour.

Its normal.

One other thing to add is not all 980ti like added voltage. My 980ti G1 overclocked amazingly well on stock voltage. If I added more it didnt respond well at all.

Mines like this. Does 1470 at stock volts, not interested in 1500mhz no matter what voltage, crashes within a second of testing it.

Excellent news, thank you.

I'll benchmark and compare just now to make sure, but it certainly feels dandy.
