A lot of the multi platform games look better on X too. It’s also very quite my Pro is very noisy...

Problem now is trying to work out which games look/perform better on the X1X compared to the PS4 Pro. Obviously, most if not at all upcoming titles will but going backwards a bit, e.g. Bioshock, which is the best platform for this game? Batman Return to Arkham? Dishonored? Borderlands 2? Assassin's Creed Syndicate? Far Cry Primal? etc etc.

As I'll be starting from scratch building up an Xbox games library, it's going to take some research to make sure I buy the "best" version be it the Xbox One or PS4 version. A lot of Xbox games will still be running at 900p so they'll be out of the running when the same game is 1080p on PS4 even if the X1X does have better anisotropic filtering or whathaveyou.

That’s pretty much what I do tbh I do prefer the Xbox pad though and the X is far quieter than my Pro.....

The extra 4GB of Ram certainly gives the X the advantage with textures.

TBH sounds like too much work. I'm invested more on PSN - so by default that would be where I get the games, xbox has and will only ever be for exclusives titles to me.

Don't regret my X purchase even tho I'm not playing it much. Just need a 4k splitters my TV only has 1 4k port. And the backwards compatibility will just keep growing. Makes ps lame. And they used to be king.

Looking forward to getting my X1X, tbh haven't got many enhanced games but looking forward to playing some older games i never got round to finishing like Witcher 3.

So I need to get some external storage.

Seems like 8TB drives are mostly desktop.

I have one of these for my PS4 - thinking of another for my 1x (maybe 2) https://www.overclockers.co.uk/seagate-expansion-4tb-portable-hard-drives-stea4000400-hd-367-se.html

Anyone using one already and can confirm it works OK? Would 2 work fine?

Or does anyone know of single 8TB portable drive for the same kind of price as 2 of these? (Approx £260)

Finally got my XB1 replacement through. Really pleased with it, very quiet, amazing graphics. A nicely built piece of equipment - feels more premium than the PS4 Pro. I just need to get round to trying out a UHD film.

My new one started being an arse tonight, getting that annoying app took to long to start error five times in a row all with different games stored on my two identical external drives, both drives were showing up but refused to load anything... Then on the sixth attempt voila it worked. I'm beginning to wonder if the two external drives have an issue working with the One X or it's just a problem with the updated dash.

Out of interest have you used the external drives on the og xb1 before using them one the xb1X? I wonder if this is what's causing all these errors for some while others are problem free?
