Boy, 15, admits causing crash in which five people died

That type of scum certainly like their Audi S3s. Mate of mine had his RS3 lifted from his driveway by a gang of burglars who then got into a police chase and ragged the thing rotten. It was chased at high speeds, rammed into cop cars, stung, ragged about on two tyres, crashed into a parked lorry on a service station car-park and then the police broke every window on the car.

To say he was gutted is an understatement. He'd only had the thing a month or so and had used an inheritance to buy it.

Thank god for insurance.

It emerged tonight that Jehangir had only recently been released from prison.

He was jailed for 36 months last year for leading police on a chase in a near-identical Audi S3.

Jailed for 36 months last year and recently released from prison this year? Even Diane Abbott could figure out something's wrong with the maths here...

More likely the paper that Chris is copying from is using the term "jailed" incorrectly. It's not uncommon for a significant portion of a sentence to be outside prison "on licence".

Sorry, I really *really* despise Brum and 95% of the people in it...

It's OK 99% of Birmingham think you're an utter tool so everything balances out

/Back on topic

The section of road that this occurred is infamous for street racing. The idiots love racing through the tunnels, there are circuits they use that utilise the Middleway in various forms.

They are welcome to hold that opinion of me, but ultimately I don't care. :p

I'm sure you are one of the 5% because you are an OcUK member so please don't take too much offence. ;) <3

Mores the pity.

There are a load of people who would still be alive had he been kept inside.

But Hey Ho, if you dont release serial offenders so they can commit more crimes there would be a whole lot less work for the legal industry to do...

If our prisons actually functioned in terms of rehabilitation, then it might not be a problem. Unfortunately, the general public are retarded and any attempt to divert funding to rehabilitating prisoners would be met with stiff opposition.

nothing wrong with the maths here, there is something wrong with the criminal justice system when people are serving less than half of their sentence - I'm all for rehabilitation but I also think there should be far stiffer penalties for reoffenders, penalties for subsequent offences should increase exponentially and being let out early ought to be far rarer given they've already show that the system was wrong to give them an early release the first time around

fortunately he's dead now, unfortunately he's taken innocent people with him

[QUOTE="Chris Wilson, post: 31440763,

Just lovely regular guys out for the evening then.....[/QUOTE]

Of course they are going to say that, they are his family. Do you really expect them to say anything different?? I don’t and didn’t expect them to say anything contrary to what you and others may have wanted them to say.

Well, they could be honest. Or just keep their mouths shut. Or say sorry to the people that died as a result of his and his scumbag friends' actions?

Well yes they could have but then they lost a family member themselves, grieving can cause all sorts of irrational thoughts and words.

Don’t get me wrong, they deserved it due to their stupidity and I suppose other than their respective families, no one is going to give a flying fig about the idiots who took themselves out of the gene pool.

For killing 5 people. The boy will serve half of his sentence in detention and will then be able to be released before starting a five-year driving ban. I confess I just do not understand this at all, mind you the judge did say if he had been an adult he would have got 9 years and even that is ridiculously short for such a large loss of life. My heart goes out the families of those who died.

There is already a thread for this...

I assume it's because they say the boy has a mental age of 10...

If he has a mental age so far below his physical age then why was he out at that time of night driving a Car? Surely he should have been in the presence of his parents/carers? Or if they were incompetent then is that not neglect? In which case they should be prosecuted too.
