Pretty sure the 2 final drivers were professionals :D

Turn the TC/ESP off then and watch everybody spin on the first corner? Top gear has shown us that even a GT86 is too much for most of the guests to handle.

The GT86 is a lot to handle with the TC off, but it's designed to be slidey. They must have it off in TGT to be able to get the back end out like that though.

200bhp and no torque a handful with TC off... Hardly

I thought the drag race between the m4 and the chiron was interesting, mainly because and m4 Ie what I'm looking to sidegrade to but I didn't know just how quick it was. How did they do some of those scenes, I assume the business park was all stunt drivers, and the bit at the end where he was driving thru the city. Also I thought it was funny that he never showed his speedo in the gt when he was over the limit :).

I liked the First segment with James May and the Kia Stinger and the Chiron at the end but that awful staged Business Park rubbish was pretty poor and the xmas gifts/celebrity section was OK-ish.

I find it odd that they can get access to something as amazing as the Chiron yet only give it 15 minutes without being a challenge (vs plane/train etc) while they devote 10 minutes to that fake business park stuff as filler.

I thought E03 was very very good. Top episode.

Anyone criticising, if you didnt like that then just stop watching the show frankly, you obviously just dont like the format.

Think I'm done with it now. Actually didn't m7ch mind the first season but so far the new season has been awful. The Kia segment was good but then it just ended with literally no proper closure on the segment? No idea what the rest of it was about other than watching the Chiron in action. The presenters look tired, the show feels tired and I think now I much preferred the last season of Top Gear tbh.

Come on Jez, that's a little unfair. Not everybody with anything negative to say is watching it just to find something to complain about. I like TGT but some of the content is just dross and that's more frustrating when you want to like the format. It should be pretty simple really but they are still missing the mark.

Why do they bother trying to pretend that their hired experienced drivers are local everyday Joes and why are they bringing celeb guests who's only reason for being there is to promote their new PG rated hour and a half of dross. Why would anybody watching TGT care about that? TGT should start getting some guests on who aren't just interested in plugging their new film / album / tv show and actually talk about cars instead OR just bin the section entirely. I've never been one to skip sections of TGT or TopGear previously however I've found myself doing it this year because it's just that bad and i really don't want that to be the case.

I believe they had stuff planned for the Chiron but between the injuries and stuff plus some licensing issue they couldn't do it - some of the scenes were edited to remove references to planned stuff and some still had mentions of things that didn't happen.

I seem to remember there was an issue with the Veyron appearing on Clarkson's Top Gear where Bugatti wouldn't let them have one unless they could guarantee it would be the quickest around the test track.

Well he made an incorrect comment about it being the fastest car in the world for a start, although Koenigsegg may not have done their speed run by then.

I don't think it was even the quickest in the end from what I remember. Not surprising through as a 2 ton car is never going to be great on a track no matter how much power it has.
