What was so special about the boot hinges?
Look at them. This is a few notches above the average pressed steel stuff in most cars:
Anyway, this is more A8 than Passat.
What was so special about the boot hinges?
(and DPF delete) shortly.
Also cool car I realise they are very expensive when new but 8k seems a lot of money for a soon to be 9 year old diesel?
Please don't do this.
No please do do it, then hopefully the government will come in sooner and tax all Diesel owners like the filthy polluters that they are destroying any value in purchasing a Diesel and banishing the fuel to the trash heap of history.

Obviously. But Surely the 240ish bhp 3.0 diesel is worth less than the 330bhp 4.2 v8 or the 6.0 w12 440bhp though? Normally bigger engines with more power cost more new and used hence the reason something like a bmw 330/340i wound cost more than a 320d new and used whatever age. What I am saying is you see the bigger more powerful engined Phaetons for the same price or less than what op paid which is why I said 8k sounds a lot for a 9yr old example with the lowest spec 3.0d engine choice. In fact just looking on AT now there is a 2008 4.2 v8 with 79k on for 7kThe hint is in the new price. There is more to a cars value than whether its 'diesel' or not.

Eeeek ! £520 annual vehicle tax.
For a flagship model VW didn't push the design boat out, it's basically a elongated eurobox Passat.
Hopefully the steering is light, parking that barge in a multi-storey designed for
Fiat 500s will be arm numbing.
