Do any of the motherboard manufacturers let the retailer swap out faulty products without the hassle of it going back to the them does anyone know? I seem to remember some ASUS arrangement but not sure.

Currently in a situation where a faulty <£100 Gigabyte board has to go back to them taking 2 + weeks to confirm what we already know before anything is done. Not good when someone is waiting to do important University work!

Won't be buying Gigabyte again if someone does allow OCUK to deal with the issue direct as it's just too much bloody hassle.

The 2 weeks turn around would be if you send it into OCUK and they deal with it? If you go direct to Gigabyte it would be quicker.

It's because your meant to go to Retailers directly , they do their testing, the send it off, gets repaired, goes back to them and they send it back .
Ocuk have one of the best RMA .

Gigabyte is the only ones you can send it directly and seems to be in worst case situations were they step in over riding a reseller , at least in the UK, Asus you can't and I think MSI is Holland , or that area in the EU etc etc

@GIGA-Man

So OCUK have told me that they cannot give me the reference number I need for you because of data protection because other peoples items are also on the same RMA, so I can't chase it up with you myself. I mean, I'm not asking for details of other peoples returns. The old saying springs to mind that a company's support is great until you actually get a problem, then it's terrible.

I would say that OCUK support is great when someone on the forums deals with it but I've had issues when you contact someone direct at OCUK.
