Show us your kitty cats

Some good news - Took Holly to the Vets Friday and Ingrid did a swab of her ear - stuck it under microscope and it came up clear - We had to put a liquid in her ears twice a day for a week - it was thick cream coloured and sticky but being a good cat she didn't mind and it seems to have killed the bacteria in her ear - Ingrid could now see that her ear drum was in one piece (what a relief) - so she said we will do one more course of these drops to make sure - Have to say there is a massive difference in Holly - she is up and about - eating us out of house and home and is generally a new cat - It's awful to realise we didn't see the change - Probably because she has always been a house cat and always sleeps or eats.

She is fat though 6.4kg - now the hard part starts - putting her on a diet - if she thinks she hasn't had enough food she will sit in kitchen all day till we feed her - she sits there just looking at us saying if you don't feed me I will scratch your eyes out.

I thought car dealers were crooks but Vets have them beat hands down - They prey on your emotions - We know someone who turned down two Vet jobs because part of contract was you gave every pet that came in a X-ray whether it needed it or not - She is now just a Veterinary surgeon - not customer facing. - At our last Vets every time we went in it was an injection without fail.

Some potentially great news for us cat lovers. Police believe they may have caught the Croydon cat killer. He was arrested after slaughtering five cats in Northampton. Vicious *******, I hope he gets the absolute maximum sentence and is monitored very closely for the rest of his life. A few beatings from inmates wouldn't go amiss either. He struck two streets away from me in November. A family cat was found decapitated and with its tail cut off on the owners driveway :(

He has been released while they investigate further, so it's not a definite just yet.

I really hope so - I'm just down the road from Croydon and have seen the reports of attacks in my area over the last few years, it's one of the reasons we chose to keep the cat indoors.
Hope they get what's coming to em..

Some pics of Lulu, the resident fluff monster...

'Fess up, that's a shop, right? :p

She honestly sleeps like that? Need more pics to be fully convinced :p

Scum

Bad news, it’s not him. The bloke was released without charge and more dead cats have since turned up as recent as last night. :(

Be really careful if you’ve got cats in south eastern England guys, this evil SOB is getting more prolific by the day.

Lovely pic! Did you have some lights set up or was that natural light?!

just natural light... i've done some with proper light before, but using strobes with cats is always 50/50 whether they enjoy it and pose, or if the flashes freak them out and they attack everything in sight lol

Very good! Ive tried using lights with mine but they just get excited at the "new" things and wont stay still or pose normally! :(

yeah, cats are tricky like that... they tend to go crazy or attack the lighting cables lol

99% of the time i just use a low aperture (1.4 or 1.2) and try to get my shutter speed up as fast as possible, and then just hope i can be quick on the focus lol

new little additions to my household...

three little abandoned guys... giving them a warm home and plenty of love at the moment, hand rearing is going to be tiring though

Cute :)

A stray came to visit at work today... very very skinny (spine and ribs poking through skin). Gave it some food and took it to the vet. Turned out it was microchipped and has travelled a long way to end up here.

Vet's looking after and trying to contact the family.

I'll call back in the morning to see how they're getting on and possibly rehome the little one.

these guys are about 10 to 14 days old... been to the vets for a checkup, healthy and just starting to open their eyes

going to have to invest in a new cat tower and some kitten toys for them now... oh the hassle :p

We got a rescue cat for some reason he pawns around the area where his food bowl is after eating its like he's trying to bury it, I know feral cats do this so they don't attract predators not sure why he does ?

Mine does that too, and she's a pedigree with no feral cats in her bloodline for countless generations. It either means "You think I'm going to eat that?" or "I'll come back for this later." Oh, or "You haven't put enough treats on top; I expect there to be many more treats when I return."

He did it a few times but went back and ate it all, I will see if he does it with a different meat kinda funny to watch i have never seen a cat do that before.

Was bit worried he didn't like it at first he's only been in the house 2 days.
