I was just reading an article about Brass Eye and how it was 20 years ago. It was so ahead of its time, I can remember thinking it was crap back then because it all went over my head. Thinking back, it was almost like looking into the future and even the media it ridiculed were seemingly oblivious to it. This image made me laugh out loud a little.

My partner met Chris Morris a while back, and he asked how they managed to do all of the interviews without laughing or cracking up, (stuff like the Dr Fox interviews, so on and so fourth) and apparently they were all bricking themselves so badly, as it had taken ages and ages to secure those interviews, and they were all terrified of screwing it up.

Watched that when that aired, it was at the peak time of paranoia over the drug/rave/EDM scene. Very funny.

So brave and so clever. We might look back at the naivety of those celebs but if anything the media and celebrity culture have degenerated since then, even if they are more on the ball for wind ups.

It was superb... on a somewhat related note, does anyone remember the earlier series called "Jam". Now that was *** swearing should be fully starred out, especially that word *** up! :D

The Day Today was also another excellent show. One bit always stood out was (with apologies for not getting the exact wording):

*reporters speaking on the news*
“Wow that is shocking - could you sum it up in a word?”
“No.”
“In a sound?”
“OOoOoooOooooOOooOoOooooooohhhh!!!”

lol :D

Probably my favourite tv show, well that and the day today. Morris is a genius, we need him now...more than ever.

Was good to see he had made some contributions to black mirror recently.
