years from now...

- It will have come out that electric cars were not beneficial to the environment and the whole idea of bringing back electric cars was a collusion between governments and car manufacturers for their own gain. Similar to how diesel cars were the big thing 10 years ago but are now mainly frowned upon.

- Working from home will be the norm.

- Apple will no longer exist and will have gone into administration.

- Currency will be entirely electronic. No notes or coins.

- The EU will not exist in its current form.

- Brexit will be taught in UK school history lessons.

Televisions as we know them will be consigned to museums & everyone will watch coronation street on a hologram projector

I agree TV's won't exist. Not sure hologram projector will be the answer. I think something more like a contact lens that just gives us each the content directly into our eye. Or possibly even an electronic device that gives us the content directly into our brain/optic nerves?

Liverpool will of still not won the Premier League.

People who maybe should know better, will
STILL be typing will of instead of will have.
On second thought, perhaps Liverpool will
still not have may have been better.

Quantum computers will replace silicon-based computers.
Quantum energy will be used instead of fossil fuels.
Manchester City will be the most popular football club in England, with most PL titles.
Human race will live under the ideas of Jacque Fresco and his The Venus Project.
We will find many alien worlds and intelligent civilisations.
Teleportation will be widely used.

Things will pretty much be the same as they are now, the more things change the more they stay the same...

Except that if you go to 1899 year right now, you will see how different our society is at the present times.

1899 you say... We Lived in houses, we worked jobs, we got married, we had children, we paid taxes and we died.

Doesn't sound to different to now to me. ;)

Technological and attitude differences aside, a lot is still the same.

Relationships between parents and their children is actually the opposite, nothing the same.
Technological development, computers and smart devices everywhere.
Attitude towards slavery, etc...... morality aspects are too different, too.

Agreed the fundamental way of life will never change. I always hoped for a life like in StarTrek where we each just strive to better ourselves not for money but for knowledge and for the whole human race.

Vertical farming or at least some new clever way of mass producing crops will exist. Fossil fuel useage will definately have to change.

Largely centers around population growth and resources. I read that if population trends continue for the next 100 years we will need 3 earth's worth of resources to sustain ourselves hence all the conspiracy theories around the elites trying to depopulate the earth.

it's not a hard conclusion to reach that there is a finite number of human beings that can be supported by planet earth, and that the closer we get to this limit the worse the quality of life will be as there's less to go round.

exactly what that number is, and more importantly what quality of life we as a species will accept before taking action is a different story.
