Thoughts?
Who will hold the place markers? Why not grid girls and boys?
I probably won't miss them but will be very annoyed if we get that stupid driver intro rubbish.
Andi.

Just get some garage mechanic who isn't doing anything to hold the cards, can't say I'm bothered in the slightest to be honest as I never paid attention to them.

Just another aspect of what made F1 what it is stripped away.

I put forward the proposal of a partnership between the company I work for and F1 but got shot down by marketing instantly, they simply view it as a "dying sport", sad really.

Lol, over reaction much over grid girls, no?

It was a completely harmless practice that added some character to what is otherwise a very technical and charmless sport.

I'll continue to watch it, but then I'm not the younger generation that F1 is so utterly failing to engage with.

Honestly couldn't give less of a **** about this 'news'.

There are some absolutely hilarious overreactions in this thread :D

I'm sure there will be absolute chaos without a woman there holding a sign.

Agreed 100%. You should see the comments after the BBC article :D.

My wife actually sent me the BBC link about this. She thinks it's crazy and boils down to "certain people" (her words) just being jealous of attractive women.

This achieves nothing but robbing women of their jobs. Did anyone stop to ask these models of their opinions? I very much doubt it.

Feminists seem very happy to display their body parts in quite vulgar fashion so long as it is daubed with some pathetic slogan when they are protesting the latest fad, but it is not right that other women choose to display their own bodies if it is their career.

Whatever happened to "My body, my choice"???

The OCUK SJWs are in here sounding off at how we are all outdated and kicking up a fuss. Well Kelly Brook was kicking up an almighty fuss over this too, along with Katie Price. Are their opinions not valid seeing as they both came through the modelling industry?
