Iron Rees-Mogg

They did nothing and swept it under the carpet for years. Makes me wonder what else is being swept under the carpet right now.

Want to comment on the above video which clearly shows Paul Townsley starting the physical altercation ??

If someone came bowling up behind me and force-ably spins me around I think I'd start pushing back before asking questions tbh!

He probably should have waited for the police, but physically removing them in that situation is reasonable. Antifa have an M.O. for disruption and violence if they think they can get away with it. And to be honest, I don't care if the likes of Antifa start getting their skulls cracked.

Now you are an apologist for a violent right-wing racist who likes taking the law into his own hands! (Ohhh, and who thinks it's o.k to rough up women half his size )
Hypocrite much ??
I bet you both would get on great down the pub, no doubt have very similar political views and feelings on certain subjects

Call's someone hysterical and then suggests they are a terrorist apologist!
Ohhh the irony!

I'm merely making observations and responding to things you have said, please point out where I have said things which imply I am a jihadi/terrorist supporter?!?
The things you have said make you sound very right-wing like the Nazi loving Paul Townsley tbh ;-)

I love it on here how some people forum names describe them perfectly......

Anyway back to the point..

Rees Mogg himself said it wasnt a tory meeting and there was people from all political sides there.

And once the shouty bandana wearing people were removed there was a good debate from all sides.

So to me it all looks like bandana wearing shouty people trying to force there ideas on everyone.

and as far as im concerend if they cant listen and have a proper debate then they deserve a smack in the chops..

1) It wasn’t violent, it was a scuffle.

2) “Right wing” isn’t pejorative unless you’re an utter simpleton.

3) Not liking nonce gangs doesn’t make someone a racist.

4) There was no “taking law into his own hands”, he was removing an obvious troublemaker. It happens in pubs/clubs all the time.

5) Stop implying everyone who disagrees with you is a racist Nazi, it’s just childish, simple, and why many put little effort into engaging with you. And my jihadi quip was to give you a taste of what you’d just done to me, and have just done again.

Feel free to use all the hysterical hyperbole you like, but no-one's taking you seriously. Oh, and this response is actually well over the effort level you deserve.

Antifa - oh the irony. It reminds me a bit of the nazi Blackshirts who went round suppressing any political view bar their own...... except this lot are basically rubbish

If you are brave enough to put yourself up there for anyone to argue your view or make a point then you deserve the airtime - not saying he is right or wrong with his views but without discussion if he is wrong when will he hear a valid discussion that might change his mind on a subject - equally if he has a valid view and you hear the reasons someone may also agree with him.

Mogg, Boris and Gove dream team nightmare more like! Give thinks everything and I mean everything was better in the 50's and has ruined every department he's ever run leaving a legacy that would be funny if it wasn't education and prisons he was in charge of! all Boris has done since arriving in government is convince me that he actually is an incompetent bafoon and not just pretending and mogg would be the worst PM in living memory. PS nobody voted for hard brexit that term wasn't on the ballot I filled out!

Actually since he became environment secretary he seems to have actuallly turned over a new leaf. He seems to be actually listening to experts and coming up with workable plans.

Perhaps he didn’t really have any preconceived positions on what should happen, and as such is actually making evidence based decisions?

Well like you said, people seem to like JRM for his convictions even if they don't agree etc, but that is the exact same reason they dislike Jeremy Corbyn

Why do we support politicians with deeply held convictions at all? I personally would rather someone with a more fluid mindset able to change direction as and when needed, because of the public mood and/or evidence and results based thinking.

The captain of the Titanic had conviction... perhaps it wouldn’t have sunk if he didn’t continue at full steam ahead, listened to the evidence and slowing down...

Maybe he is finally reformed but the man can never be forgiven for the mess he has left behind him to date!

Any specifics? I know you work in education so I’m surprised that you support anything he’s done. :p

The change from ICT to Computer Science was necessary (if not supported properly).
Removal of the reliance on coursework (there was widespread cheating).
Changing the exam regime so subjects had better equivilance (no more subjects worth 4 GCSEs mostly taken by low ability students to boost results)
The overhaul of the GCSE courses to make them more difficult.

However it was a lot of change in a short period of time from a right wing politician over a left wing career with vocal unions, so it was always going to cause ructions. Some of the things were also ill advised, the focus on academic rather than vocational, the reduction in value of the Arts, too much change too quickly not giving time for them to bed in.

Gove gets an awful lot of hate, some of it deserved, but a lot because of who he is rather than what he has actually done.

What if you couldn't decide based on the rubbish information supplied by both sides? Better to vote on something you don't understand or abstain? Stupid response is stupid!
So you don't agree either way, you don't vote. So you have no say one way or the other!

It was a binary choice, is that difficult to understand in today's gender warped society?

It was the implication that you have no right to an opinion if you didn't vote that I object to, if that's the case then there should have been a third option that said I'm not sure so people could register there confusion. Binary choice on such a major issue is always a bit silly I voted remain partly because I wasn't 100% sure and remain was an easier decision to undo the one thing that has become clear since is nobody really knew what they were voting for!
