Nvidia Ampere might launch as GeForce GTX 2070 and 2080 on April 12th

Problem is unless its seamless to the developer (which it almost certainly won't) even with nVidia's dominance at the moment programming specifically for features like that tend to not get great uptake.

They are, but it depends on what. You can't say something is dying when it's not, it goes against the facts. When you look at the number of games on steam released in the last 2 or 3 years alone, where is the proof? :D
PUBG and Fortnite (neither of which I have played in truth) have huge PC player bases and this kinda shows that PC gaming is far from dead/dying

If they're going to launch in April, and I still have my doubts, it'll be a paper launch only, but more than likely just a reveal, with actual stock landing probably late Q3, maybe even Q4 to actually buy. RAM prices are so high and the lack of any real competition from AMD means NVidia don't actually need to do anything. Other than continuing to milk Miners and gamers of top end cards for £700+. NVidia and AMD are crying into their rapidly expanding bank balances at the moment. The demand for the current cards is still outstripping supply, why on earth would they want to move capacity to making new cards when old cards are still selling out across the globe?

I am sure I read on here that they no longer/are stopping producing the Pascal silicon so they won't have any units to milk with, no

Look at GTA V how many players are still playing that game? PUBG has surpassed both DOTA 2 and Counter strike for number of players. Hardly a sign of decline..

So, how exactly is PC gaming declining? Just because you say so?
These games are played with relatively mediocre configurations. GTA V has level of graphics maybe worse than what the Unreal engines provided 10 years ago.
PUBG isn't even optimised properly.
The decline is in the enthusiast, cutting-edge gaming market.

While having game debate I'd rather have an ugly game with great gameplay than a super gfx game and it be boring.

I don't want prices to get high its insane all ready, the 1070 is most i have ever paid for a gpu and I felt that it was still very expensive , it was before the price boom luckily.

I love to walk around in beautiful environment, just to wander in Crysis, Crysis 2, Crysis 3.
Not even fighting with the enemies, just walking around and enjoying all details and realism.

Something I miss so much now :(

LOL nope! You obviously not played many old unreal 2 & 3 engines 10-13 years ago like Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Stranglehold and others. All has horrible low resolution textures.

Unreal engine 2 games

Stranglehold - Unreal 3 engine

GTA V has much better graphics and textures!

GTA V Online Multiplayer

None of Unreal 2 & 3 engines games has level of graphics ever close match or better than GTA V!
A indie developer Chevarria Arts worked on Unreal 4 engine open world GTA V clone game AOP: The White City since 2012, it still do not have release date. Unreal 4 engine is capable to achieve same level of graphics as GTA V.

Crysis at 4K - a 2007 game.

Modded Crysis.

Crysis is a DX9 game with a few DX10 features and even lacks access to tessellation.

It had texture resolution much higher than many games(even Crysis 2) had for many years.

Also, the excuse makers also ignore the Crysis gameplay.

Buildings, trees, etc are all destroyable - you can even pick up the chickens and throw them at people.

You can use the environment to attack enemies. Its not even an open world game, but compared to many FPS games,it has more than one gameplay method to attack enemies.

This is getting onto 11 years ago,and with the massive increase in GPU power,CPU power, and three new APIs,ie,DX11,DX12 and Vulkan,I would be expecting more photo-realistic graphics from now.

I might have my criticism of Star Citizen as it is years late, but I do hope it works out in the end,as it at least it is trying to push things a bit.

That doesn't look that great for Unreal 4 - though that said its pretty hard to make a game that has the same level of graphics that can be seen in the Unreal 4 showcases.

TBH 1-2 effects aside it doesn't look any better to me than Test Drive: Unlimited 2 which was a DX9 game which is literally a 7 year old game this month (although 1-2 things aside like water other than the sea and even the sea close up and some low res textures/geometry here and there I always thought TDU2 was massively under-rated for its graphics - though it didn't help that the lighting was often bland and only at certain times of day did it really show it off).
