Is this misleading the customer into buying a product ?

Sometimes in life, it's simply easier to sort things yourself and you need to accept that standing up for your principles will serve only to make your life more difficult with no actual tangible benefit at the end of it all :p
Your very right m8,but sometimes its worth the battle.

It's not making my life difficult just a bit annoying, they only reply once a day (in the morning) as they are in chine ect

Send it back for a refund or request an actual 10ft backdrop as advertised or keep it and begrudge using it telling every client the story of when you bought it and it wasn’t quite as advertised

I don’t know why anyone needs to tell you any of this though

I'm keeping it as it is what i want,i will work around it and use it.

I don't have clients as im not a professional photographer but just a hobbyist.

I need people to tell me but i like to see them for myself in general discussion where we can all learn so much.

I had a problem with a tv this year, came in here and got some good advice and a e-mail which helped me get a new tv,if you dont stand up for what you think is right then how are we as consumers meant to purchase items and believe what they say is correct ?

It does not seem that you raised the two issues with the vendor from the outset ?
otherwise it is mission creep, and confusing for them to understand, you loose credibility too - no ?

when dealing with chinese purchases have often found sending them a picture is worth many words

I will send them a picture as well but they fully understand that size is incorrect.

Seems weird a Forum mod would open such a terrible thread with just the intention to moan in...

Maybe give him 48h suspension to learn him.

While the Non-woven 10x5ft backdrop is indispensable accessory for your photo studio.

well that is pretty unambiguous... I think if it was only going to be used a couple of times and was cheap/meets the purpose you'd need it for then I'd maybe e-mail them a complaint and get a voucher or something as sending it back could be more hassle

on the other hand if it isn't fit for the purpose you bought it for then absolutely send it back, you're completely in the right there

Most men tend to over measure when they use imperial, so 10ft sounds about right for a 9ft4" product. ;):D

But really, "where do I stand", I don't get questions like that, it's not like you are willing to sue for 8" of material is it. If you're not happy with it, just send it back.

Im giving up with them, ill be keeping the item and i got a new cloth yesterday (9ftx13ft),just thought i would see how people react,it wasn't about sending the item back it was about misleading customers into thinking the item was one size only when clearly it wasn't.

After seeing some threads in GD i kinda thought this one would be of some interest.....GD never lets the members down :)

Listing states...
10 foot frame.
10 foot cloth.
Cloth is not 10 foot but 8 inches shorter which leaves the 10 foot frame useless does it not ?
