Is this misleading the customer into buying a product ?

General Data Protection Regulations. About 10 weeks until they come into force. As a site holding, processing and allowing publication and search of a great number of peoples personal data, it's going to be effected.

I was actually going to mention that too when I read Schizo's post but in a separate thread, this forum is especially affected as very personal details (ie. your shop account) are intrinsically linked to forum accounts. I hope it doesn't affect the running of the forum though as it will be quite a big lot of work. I would be surprised if work isn't already taking place though, it's been very much publicised.

What constitutes personal data?
Any information related to a natural person or ‘Data Subject’, that can be used to directly or indirectly identify the person. It can be anything from a name, a photo, an email address, bank details, posts on social networking websites, medical information, or a computer IP address.

It's going to be interesting how the GPDR affects forums in general.
