PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

I'm a little confused by the hold for ADS. I get how it works in First Person mode, but in Cheaters mode (AKA Third Person mode) doesn't holding right mouse button already do a sort of ADS that isn't the same as the toggle ADS?
 
I don't get what the devs are playing at in this game sometimes. Can't use a 8x with a M16A4 but some **** can headshot 400 metres with a AKM x8. Really logical seeing as an AKM is a close quarters weapon and the A4 is a long range assault weapon. I give up.

the thing is say you aim up on all your weapons then say aiming up is the best way of firing yet i only hipfire who is to say which is better.thats what i meant.no one way of playing is better than the other.what works for someone else may not work for you. it applies to everything in life there is no best way.just do what works for you.

The 8x used to go on the M16, but it was removed because either:

A: Too strong vs other AR's because of the its accuracy, velocity etc
B: Was too similar to the role of the Mini 14
 
All ARs should be max x4 really, leaving the 8x for the snipers. Would balance the game better as most people ditch the Mini and SKS for an M4/SCAR right now

the x8 on the m16 was great over distance even with x4 still best option even over the mini.plus they nerfed the mini so kinda didnt make sense.the funny thing is you can still put the x8 on skar which is a beast option or the 416.

i used to love the mini but really pick it up now. changed up to use the sks over the kar98 aswell now.

It's a fact that you would hit more shots if you aimed down sights. Simple as that. With zoomed hip fire you could have your crosshair perfectly on the guy but the bullet can quite easily miss because of the spread. If you aim down sights and your crosshair is on target, it will hit 100% of the time.

With default keys there are 3 ways to fire:

Firing without holding anything = hip fire. Very inaccurate, bullets have lots of spread.

Holding right click = "aim" or "zoom hip fire". Your character holds his gun up and you get smaller random bullet spread while walking slower.

Tap right click = aim down sights. No bullet spread, bullets go exactly to the middle of your crosshair and is only affected by recoil/kick.

This doesn't change in 1st or 3rd - it's exactly the same system. Note there is a difference between recoil and bullet spread. All guns have random recoil no matter how you fire, but only hip fire and zoomed hip fire have an additional randomness of bullet spread. i.e the bullets travel outwards in a cone rather than a straight line.
