Violet Evergarden….2 episodes in, I am unsure what this is about or where this is going story arch wise. Which is different for an anime, they are normally very 1 dimensional but this feels more like a western drama.
Keep with it. It's about a broken girl who has had no love or care understanding her own and others emotions and developing herself into a functioning post war human. It gets very feelsy later on. Story is slow but its so good and beautiful to watch.
4 episodes in now and I can see what you mean by looking for love, it is a very beautifully animated show but unlike most other shows, a part of me is waiting for some giant mech to roll into town and her to start kicking ass with her superpower.
Cancelled my crunchyroll sub last night as annoyed with servers being down so often (frequently receive server errors on xbox app, also get the same with android app when it occurs).
Any other decent streaming platforms with similar range of content?
Funimation? or just search per series on... "alternative" places like Kiss anime

lol thats where im watching some of my stuff before i buy it
that site had a 20 second clip of ep one so went to another site and got screwed over as ep 7 was listed as ep 1, as soon as ep 7 hit i was like wtf and turns out ep 1 is 40 odd mins long.....
i used to love subs but something is happening in my head and i cannot view them as easily as i did, watching dubs for fate/zero.
I think I’ll cancel Crunchyroll and get Funimation purely because I found myself don’t watch subbed anime because I want to multitask at home and subbed makes t difficult.
