**** The Official Huawei P20 Thread ****

I have had a few days using the P20 Pro.
I got it as an early upgrade on Vodafone for my S7 Edge, as it had a badly cracked screen. Quite annoyed as it's the first phone i have ever damaged.

My findings:

The Notch got annoying after a a couple of days. It got hidden.

Haptic feedback got switched off.

Battery is lasting roughly a day and a half. My S7 Edge didnt last a day.

The camera is awesome. Lots of settings for me to play with.

The default vibrant screen setting is fine for general use but watching the SkyQ app it needs turned off.

The screen isn't as good as the S7 Edge but the extra screen real estate is good.

I need a proper case for it. The back protection case that comes with the phone is IMO inadequate. The phone doesn't sit flat because of the camera.

Totally worth the upgrade.

I also upgraded from an s7 edge, and have pretty the same feelings, tbh I don't really notice the difference in screen quality, really don't miss the "edge" screen - call me old fashioned, but it's nice to have a proper bezel to hold rather than hitting the edge constantly! I'd recommend the rugged armour spigen case, feels really nice in the hand.

Night mode camera is bloody brilliant! Also love how it recognises my cat (although it thinks my GF's hair is a waterfall... :p)

My Bose QC2 headphones were approved last night. I phoned EE and had them make me a proof of purchase document. The delivery note worked fine as my invoice.

My Bose headphones were approved yesterday too. I then took the phone back to the retailer for a full refund, so got the headphones for nought!

Doesn’t appear to be against the T&Cs for either party either. Huawei said the offer is valid if you don’t return the phone within 14 days of the purchase date, and the retailer accepts returns up to 35 days from purchase. I returned on the 15th day. :)

Sneaky but smart. :D

I've got my eye on a P20 Pro, should I expect the £799 price to drop any over the next month or so?
Considering it was £510 in EE just after launch payg I would expect so. (check hotukdeals )

Also had my headphones approved, payed £550 to O2 then cancelled the contract :p

Just ordered. In effect, getting more data, free BT Sport and the phone for an extra £16 over what I pay for a SIMO deal currently. Looking forward to it!

Really liking this phone. Upgraded from an xperia z5.
First its the nicest looking phone in twilight. Then the battery, just did my first 100-0. 2 days 13hr with 5hr50 screen on time.
I also like the navigation button, frees up the whole 6" display.

I've just had my headphone claim validated :) Well inside my 14 day return window too. Not that I have any plans to return it.

On a side note, I really hope someone comes up with a decent glass screen protector soon. The pre-applied one is a mess after just one week.

Collected mine from Vodafone in store on the 16th and they still haven't activated the SIM yet. Coming up with excuse after excuse.
