Are people just now finding reasons to call other racists?

The main problem is the meaning of the word 'racist' has been rebranded so many times nobody knows what it is any more, you're racist if you say that Chinese clothes are horrible and you're racist if you like them so much you wear them. It just seems to have become a buzz word for stupid people to jump on their high horse and attack people.

For me, the meaning of racism is basically noticing that someone is of a different race and treating them differently because of it (either favouring or persecuting them). I also think that 'lefties' are the most racist people around today because they almost always immediately take note of skin colour and in most cases demand favourable treatment for minorities and persecute non-minorities. How many articles do you see "not enough black people in x" and even recently complaining that there are TOO MANY black people in a Far Cry 5. People who who are truly not racist wouldn't take any notice of skin colour and/or let it form the basis of their actions towards or against people.

I work in an office with people from many countries. I am going to demand they stop wearing suits to work as they are appropriating my English culture.

There's a lot of full-time offended people around now. Just ignore them, or tell them to shut up. They usually go away stunned when you bluntly tell them to shut up, since they realize you aren't going to play little game :p

It's the latest fad on social media to be offended by anything you can and then post about it online to get "likes" or whatever.

If that's "cultural appropriation" then so is anyone who doesn't come from a European background wearing European clothing or using European technology etc...

Surprised no-one has pointed out to the very offended Jeremy Lam that by using his logic of 'my culture is not a prom dress', then i could post 'my culture is not a first name' and demand he changes it to something non western/english.

Why is it always white people who are angry over what someone wears? Just had a look at the girl's Twitter and the only people moaning are white SJWs.

Oh never mind, I did notice the actual Chinese guy getting mad over it, but what do we have here?

Wonderful double standards...

From what I've seen of this, the majority of people complaining are not "sjw"s looking to be offended, but rather China's glass heart internet army looking for a reason to bash any other cultures.

I like it, for what it's worth, pretty girl, nice dress.

Same reason things like QFT got censored, overuse to the point of tedium and ruining threads.

Ah I understand the logic now. Lets ban words straight out the Oxford dictionary because OCUK find them tedious, but continue to advocate shovelling **** through peoples letterboxes three years running.

Lul.

Surely China are the experts of cultural appropriation, counterfeit capital of the world.
Western wedding dresses are pretty popular in China, but we don't wet ourselves over it. I'm happy for people to like our culture enough so imitate it. :)

To be fair the more your culture is appropriated the better IMO. Any culture that isn't appropriated has failed.

Give it a couple of years and we'll be sent to the cop shop for wearing a Hawaiian shirt due to not being Hawaiian, or for wearing a kilt due to not being Scottish.

was is QFT i thought it was FTW

It was FTW that got censored for years. Then a politician did a U-turn and it no longer became a starred-out word.
