EVGA GTX 980Ti Catches fire and burned to its death

Considering the imminent launch of the 11xx cards, I wouldnt rush to buy a 10xx series card.
There are some decent prices (comparitively to the last 12 months) now though as the 10xx cards are phased out of the market.

It's not that bad, the graphics are really good, especially the anti-aliasing.

Due to the new cards coming out, no doubt.

I wouldn't be buying a new 1080Ti now although I appreciate you need a card.

Might be worth you looking at a s/h card to tide you over until the new schizzle drops.
 
I would if I were you use your warranty and send it away. Chances are you would end up with a 1070 or better.

Enough to keep you going until 11 series if your really wanting to upgrade. It’s launch should be quite soon so I wouldn’t upgrade to a 1080Ti just yet.
