Total and typical muck up by BH in their recent update. Appears that many people can't play due to Battleye errors (me included). Anyone on here having problems?

This is a big improvement if it translates to the live environment correctly. Although one packet doesn't necessarily equate to one tick/update? Large amounts of data in a single 'update' might be split across multiple packets, so 2 packets becomes 30hz and 4 packets 15hz and so on.

My only worry is that Bluehole's infrastructure already struggles with the current volume of traffic, increasing it is only going to cause more congestion and performance problems. Hopefully with all the loot crate money they actually invested in infrastructure with more resources and increased throughput.

It is Bluehole after all :p

They're infrastructure shouldn't be a problem here. It's running on Microsoft Azure's platform, which is hugely scalable, almost as good as AWS, as long as they are using the correct instance sizes for their servers. It would be interesting to see their monitoring reports of how they seem to be running!

Big hopes for this performance increase with the tick rate. A few sessions have been terrible recently.

Edit+ : Also liking the idea of the M24 being a world drop. When you get it from a crate, you're disappointed it's not an AWM and it feels a tiny bit "different" to the Kar98, so you dislike it. If it's a world drop, you'll hopefully get to use it more and get used to it.

PC still uses AWS, Xbox uses Azure.

Finally found a bit of a groove, had some decent results and ended up 1800+ which im happy with.

Need to start using peek more, what key bindings do people use to make this easier, Q and E seem so alien to use or are you mapping them to mouse buttons?

I never had an issue launching but noticed I now get two PUBG icons on my task bar when launching game. Main game window and a battleye one that stays there after the game has loaded.

I use those defaults but set to toggle rather than hold which I know is not good but I find it weird using hold and then trying to use a and d to eek further left or right as necessary to peek around something when I am not quite in the right position.

Yea I end up trying to push W and E with the same finger, it's mad and cramptastic.

If you’ve got side buttons on your mouse then you can switch peek to those. I find that much better.

Aye I've got one of them mapped to fire select so I might have to remap that one and deal with it.

I knew those extra buttons on my mouse would come in handy one day :o

how do i join the discord team would be good to play with more experienced people.

Just joined myself last night. Follow this link, download app, register and join the OcUK channel. In the chat selection reel on the left hand side of Discord, scroll to the PUBG general channel where you can chat with others. Further down below on the reel, you will see the game channels :).

https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/ocuk-unofficial-discord-channel.18712831/

Me and the friend who joined last night will be on tonight if you fancy a game (xibinim and DJonmotors in Discord).

I have the defaults set, Q & E to lean. If you just use them regularly in every game, you'll soon learn the muscle memory. I have my 2x side mouse buttons to 1. select fire mode 2. Use bandages. That way, I'm always ready for a firefight and dont need to be in my inventory much either.
