Man who urged Prince George attack admits terror charges

The US did something similar in Iraq, and created ISIS. You don't really want to stick a bunch of similarly minded people together in one place as they tend to network.

Certainly however, some way of isolating their ideology from the general prison population is a good idea.

I agree, I was thinking more along the lines of a prison where they're held in solitary confinement long term but you're right as we'd undoubtedly get a bunch of the usual dilly dalliers taking up their cause & insisting that we should be giving them all the luxuries of home or we're the bad guy's, Treating them inhumanely.

Meanwhile, the country with the highest rate of Islamic terrorism in Europe is... Russia. And has been for at least the past 10 years.

Largest religion in Russia: Christianity (47%). Second largest: Islam (10%).

Pretty sure Russia has more political problems than religious ones, not sure it washes over easily.

Yes, Russia has more political problems than religious ones. It also has more religious problems than the rest of Europe. The biggest religious problem in Russia is Islamic terrorism, and always has been.

Perhaps, but i fear it's less to do with "encroaching hordes" and more to do with specific regions that don't want the Russians ruling over, usually in the south near (amazingly) other muslim nations.

Like Turkey, Russia is part in Europe and part in Asia, hence why most maps show part of Russia as "Asiatic Russia". In fact about 77% of Russia is in Asia, and it's this reason they have long had, and still have trouble with Islamic terrorism. All those `stans quite nearby probably don't help either.

Not 'perhaps.' Absolutely.

It's both. Under Putin, Russia has been importing Muslim immigrants in large numbers because the economy needs cheap labour. Last year, Putin let in 200,000 Tajiks. That's 200,000 Muslims dumped straight into the population.

The only majority Muslim nations that share a border with Russia are Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. Their combined population is <17% of Russia's. They are not a substantial source of Muslim immigration to Russia.

Roughly 70% of Russia's Muslim population is indigenous to Russia.
