E3 AMD June 13th

Tbf to him he wasn't back there long at all though. Doubt he could have moved things a great deal, these companies are like tankers rather than speedboats.

That's true but indecision can cause problems for a tech company and lead to missed opportunities.

I'm not going to get my hopes up for anything significant being announced at E3, that way I can't be disappointed but could be pleasantly surprised, if I'm lucky :P

I'd chuckle if AMD said "You know we're sampling 7nm Vega Instinct to vendors for release later this year? It's gone better than planned so guess who's getting 7nm refreshed gaming cards too?"

To which the audience cry in unison "MINERS!!!"

i hope its a GPU.

Nvidia are sleeping like Intel did last year. AMD can really lay it on them if they release something ahead of schedule.
NVidia certainly isn't sleeping:rolleyes: Despite having a commanding lead they have already released the next generation GPUs with Volta GV100 used for Tesla pats but also the TitanV, and a much smaller 512core Volta GPU exists in the drive Xavier for autonomous vehicles. And then we have pretty solid rumours about post-Volta architectures on the horizon.

I missed the stream, I take it from the Echoing silence that nothing much got announced? I can see the current live stream but they don't appear to have saved the video anywhere.

Well Resident Evil looks super pretty.

Nothing about new hardware from what I saw and there was no way they would have launched from a forum like that.

Not a bad watch though so thanks for the link.

Yeah silly me for a hardware company announcing they going to be at E3
:)

Told you they'd just speak balls ;)

edit - My Fury gave a great real-world boost to The Division when using DX12, hopefully they'll do it again with Vega the The Division 2! (I gather DX12 is the default now though instead of optional)

All good, I'm keen to see any new release and hardware from either side. Though I wont be getting anything till prices normalise for the amount of gaming I do.

Well that sucks if it requires Windows 10 - was looking forward to it but I'm in no hurry to put that POS OS on my gaming PC and not going to dual boot at this point just for one game.

Not totally confirmed yet, but that's the working theory.

Also rumours it requires instruction sets only found in Sandybridge onwards (so basically any CPU before around 2011 or so wouldn't work) I can't believe that would be true though they'd eliminate a huge amount of customers.

I suspect that is just while it is in development.

Looks like I'll be getting a PS4 Pro and FreeSync TV instead of a graphics card upgrade.

Strange Brigade and Resident Evil look really good.
