PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

I love Doc, really do. Got a lot of time for him, watch his streams daily and have been subscribed for yonks.

Just really have a lot of appreciate for the production value and the entertainment he gives with the various scenes he has etc. And he's hilarious, and given he continued streaming after him and his wife lost their unborn child, he still put a brave face on it and tried to entertain although you could tell he was off.

Even have my Doc G-Fuel shaker and t shirt :D

When is a wig and shades coming to your stream? I'd subscribe to that! :D

I don't think i've ever watched a live gaming stream, I don't have the patience for it, just watch the highlight vids from about 5/6 youtubers every few days.
Yeah same. Never actually been on twitch but watched plenty of Youtube highlights. The guy who makes Docs videos is amazing, so well made!

oh jesus, i just had a closer look at dg's stats.....each to their own but winning a squad game with a total of 2 kills across the entire squad tells me all i need to know about the game play they used. as i say, play the game however you want but that would bore the **** off me. hats off to dg and whoever he plays with though for having the patience to play that way.

Agreed, stats are bs. The only way to get a high "score" is to play boring and also never quit any games. I will have lost hundreds on my "score" by quitting to get others in, people crashing out/missing the plane/afk and also to avoid playing Miramar...

The fact that Shroud is 1832 on squads tells you enough.

Can we stop bringing shroud into this every time please :D it just causes arguments

Also... how was the first date ladies?

Shroud looks good with the noobs and stream snipers. No doubt his hand to hand combat is very very good but his actual game play and tactics isn't and that's why his win rating is not great.

He has said many times he has no real interest in actually winning though, which you can see from the way he plays, its very aggressive. You do see his professional reflex's come into play from time to play where he just completely out smarts the opposition but play (flanking, positioning, angle etc).

What I like with aculite and fugglet is they often do compilations of when they mess up, it's not constant videos about how great they are. Their situational awareness and accuracy is unreal though, very few popular youtubers of this game who have that kind of reaction speed and i've watched a bucketload since the game came out. (the joys of a newborn baby and being wide awake for hours on end between 1 and 4am)

They're also fun to watch without stupid gimmicks like silly hats, moustaches and over the top reactions (doc) or cheering at every bit of gaming excitement & gunshot like an autistic child (stone), just chilled out gameplay that's a pleasure to watch.

Yeah couldn't agree more, the tom, aculite and fugglet videos are great to watch because of the banter and game play. Another reason why i used to watch the jackfrags videos, although hes barely posted any squad games recently.

stats are not bs. anyone can probably get to 1800. 1850 is avg joe. 1900 you have to win place well. 1950 you have to win regular and place well more frequently.gets harder past 1950.most wont make that.previous stat scores dont apply here as they changed the system of what counts to your score.

2000+ is really hard. forget people saying it dont matter to maintain 2000+ you have to get top 3 literally every game to keep your score. 2 or 1st to progress. so while its not for everyone someone at 2000 is winning a lot. its not easy. infact why dont we next month see for fun who can make 2000+ on here. it could be fun and interesting. im on 47 wins upto yet.so say 50 wins and 2000+ is your challenge for next month.if you fancy it. FP only EU.

but no one is hacking. as i said if they dont count or its easy to do . next month stay above 2000 and get 50 wins. just to let you know thats more that doc dis , shroud , fuglett , acculite combined wins. for this month.

maybe someone could do some charts or something could be interesting.

I'm not a fanboy but hes far from dull. I watch his stream not only for pubg and the fraggin' he does, but to get insight into new games coming up since he's always got his finger on the pulse and talks about them a lot. He's just an all round good gamer/streamer. Most of his games are pretty fun to watch.
I'll have to agree with err.. myself.. here. Out of all the American Pubg players, Shroud is the only one I can stomach. The rest are far too loud and shouty for my taste.

Watching his team completely destroy the rest in that Twitch rivals things was a thing of beauty.

I'm actually embarrassed at myself for wasting 15 minutes reading 2-3 pages of DG waffling on about being sick, pro, amazing etc. In reality it's easy to reach a high rating in PUBG, however in my opinion it's far more difficult to maintain a high k/d and continually finish games with high kills.

When custom servers finally open to the public let's see who gives it the big licks.

I think DG is just fishing really, he doesn't mean 90% of the crap he says here.

Having said that having a high k/d isn't the point of the game is it, it's getting chicken dinners - whether you think one is more difficult or not is irrelevant really unless you are streaming for the views and need constant action on the screen and you measure success by the number of eyeballs you get on twitch.

How amazing would it be for us all to jump on and have a mini royal between us all! You'd still all be hackers in my eyes, when someone kills me.

Shame it's not open to the public. Is there any word of it coming? We could have a weekly league/ladder. It opens up the game to so much more fun.

It might be irrelevant, but it's my opinion. Hiding away and avoiding fights for 25 minutes, then riding the blue and backstabbing someone to win the game with a single kill, doesn't take any skill in my opinion. Hot dropping, fighting all the way until the final circle and dropping a 20 bomb does take skill in my opinion.

Absolutely! A monthly ladder, one night tournaments with prizes, fun mini games etc - it opens up a whole world of possibilities :)
