Idiots smash ambulance after England match

Have you had a sense of humour bypass or failure? Ok it could be down to the sun and heat recently, best get off to the docs and mention you have turned into a grump. :p

Rangers and Celtic fans are a bread unto themselves. I do find it great fun to read there respective forums from time to time, hilarious really.

Why would you even bring up Celtic fans when he's mentioned rangers fans? They are not the same at all.

Approximately 80,000 Celtic Supporters, the largest travelling support in history at that time, made the journey to Seville for this game. The exemplary conduct of the Celtic supporters (three arrests the night before the game, no arrests at all on the day of the final) received widespread praise from the people of Seville, and the fans were awarded Fair Play Awards from both FIFA and UEFA "for their extraordinarily loyal and sporting behavior". After winning the award, Celtic Supporters Association general secretary Eddie Toner said, "The Fair Play Award is a fantastic tribute to the Celtic supporters who represented the club in Europe so magnificently

The Old Firm, that fountain of well behaving supporters. XD

I remember the few years when we had QPR vs Celtic, they were always smashing up the place and even in the days when nobody had camera phones there is footage:

The preseason games were discontinued due to all the trouble from the Celtic fans.

That's laughable what bad is happening here? 3 people on the back of a truck getting a lift?

See we dont have this problem in Scotland, when we fail to win the supporters just go for a pint and get on with things... usually more pints.
Thats prob why we are always so drunk, if scotland ever ended up in the latter stages of the WC the nation would be so stunned the whole place would stop for weeks.

But England... and its chavvy scum.. i dont know, no idea why football brings out the caveman in many of them.. maybe because lots aint evolved far from cavemen i suppose :p;)

There does seem to be a big difference in the way out drunks act though, our ones .. just ask for 20p so they can get the bus home (or more likely another can of Super) - Englands ones smash up the town centre.

Hahabaha....one of the few times quoting the sun is acceptable.

Woman who jumped on ambulance in England World Cup celebrations is SCOTTISH

When bitter baiting back fires.

Excellent.

Old Firm matches as the Celtic/Rangers matches are called up here are well known for the increase in domestic violence and violence between fans, Celtic may well have been given a Fair Play award whilst supporting their team abroad and I suspect Rangers are equally well behaved but on Old Firm match days in Glasgow beware as parts of the city can be pretty dangerous.

we won a rugby world cup?

Yes, a quarter of the UK population watched it and 750,000 people turned out for the victory parade. Perhaps you were in a coma?

And nary a person was arrested. England (football) progress to the quarter finals and fans trash the place... violence and damage seem to go hand in hand with football more than any other sport for whatever reason. Not just in England, but seemingly throughout the world.

That said, I understand your sentiment. I feel the same way about football as you apparently feel about rugby.;)

A very small number of morons numbering less than 100 out of the millions who watched.

However I'm very disappointed that morons were egging on those other morons who were jumping on the ambulance rather than shouting at them.

I’m not suggesting all fans, rather there has been a systematic problem with football violence for decades. It’s certainly got better, in part because many fans are now banned from attending matches abroad, but that doesn’t negate the fact it seems to be a problem not seen in most other sports. Football seems to attract violence more than any other sport.

Much smashed up last night?
Or are we all "fake proud" of our boys that had an easy ride to the quarter final then collapsed like usual?
That the vibe I'm feeling from social media.

you know how feel from me asking a question lol... i'm not a rugby fan but mention rugby around here 'wigan' and it's league rugby so maybe i was in one of the three quarters of the country who didn't watch it...
and yes 'violence and damage seem to go hand in hand with football more than any other sport for whatever reason. Not just in England, but seemingly throughout the world' i agree with your statement

It is the quality of the support.
Its a working class sport, deeply territorial.
Sporting events are the only time when people really get to express their frustration and anger, especially if your team does badly.
There's no other outlets for testosterone fueled anger these days.
We need to bring back the tourney and let young men smash each other with maces and broadswords.

Not sure it happens more with football then any other sport really. You have to remember its by far the most watched and popular sport so will be highlighted etc. Ive never seen players fight with fans like i have in Rugby League for eg...

Hmm well from my experience of growing up in London, Rugby wasn't even a thing.... Cricket was followed by 3 people, More followed the Bloodsport that is Snooker. 99.7% of everyone I knew was "football" and they were normal affluent working class sun reading, scum.

Were they affluent or were they Sun readers? Affluent means wealthy.

I think as said by others, the sheer viewership numbers of football means even if 0.01% of fans cause trouble, that's still a lot more people than for other sports.

Honestly quite pleased about last night for purely selfish reasons. London would have become ****** awful if we'd have stayed in, there's enough drama kicking up with the hot weather. Had a car flipped upside down racing on my high street this week.
