Noob new build windows installation and drivers advice

@Illuminist

Just called them. Odd that software not showing it but clearly set in the bios so I may just leave it.

I've tried ryzen master and cpuz. With and without stress tests.

Hope this helps you.

Thank you so much for this,
but it is bothering me massively on your behalf that they just set the ram to the xmp profile and change the multiplier to 30... thats it, that's all they did for you.
On top of that, if everything in windows (cpu-z, ryzen master) says its 2133mhz then thats what it IS running at.....

my only thought on that is that you have a dual bios motherboard and the settings DON'T work that they have set, so it boots the second bios for you automatically to allow you start the pc, reverting to the default settings of 2133mhz.

Please install HWinfo as whatever it tells you in there is what it really is running at.

I'll have a look at that software. Surely then they would have just left it as 3200mhz with the 2nd bios as backup? Said they had issues getting that frequency and 3000mhz was the best.

They may have mistaken it working for it switching to the 2nd bios.
HWinfo will reveal the truth.

Sorry to hear this mate. Hopefully they will sort out for you

Ok scratch that. Twice today I had tried loading that profile for the bios to crash. So instead I was playing around in rgb fusion. Saved and exited and viola!

Can you screen shot rgb fusion for me on your current settings please sir ?

So 3000mhz caused a crash. And then pc went to restart loop and defaulted back to 2133. Annoying. Fed up of this and just going to leave it. So disappointed in this ram.

Opt for 2933MHz, and 1.4v if you can set that up in Ryzen master or the BIOS directly, then see how you go from there, if it works drop the volts down to 1.35v and see if it crashes. If it doesn't work at all then you need to chase up OCUK to sort the issue as they were supposed to have tested it for you.

Agreed, and that is exactly what my ram does, you will find that 2933 boots but will cause you weird problems in windows. How much did they charge you extra to "test" this?

Aorus 5 yeah, should be able to handle 3400hz B-Die fine . Weak link would be ram .

Honestly, best thing for ryzen platform and seems vendors of boards and ram know of and have been talking to creator .

Pain in the backside but well worth doing .

Use this with any ram on Ryzen, even if it works and the values it pulls up are better optimised then what Ram vendors have their kits (still Intel performance based )

Doesn't work with the ram me and buddy have, i tried it already on all settings safe fast or w/e.
The only solution will be some bios update for gigabyte boards or sadly buying completely new ram at £200+
