Cap to close off washing machine valve

I need to cap this connection

But I don't know what to buy or search for to do it.
I'm guessing someone here knows?

What I believe you're looking for is a called a blank nut. Have a look on screwfix/toolstation, or even better, get down to a store with the part in your hand to make sure it fits exactly.

Two options I can see:-

2. leave them in place and remove the value handles so they can't be accidentally opened

This is what you want. A bsp blanking nut.

This will fit it properly. Make sure you PTFE the threads and then screw that on and do it up while holding the isolator body with another spanner.

Got one of those 3/4 blank nuts from screw fix
Which was still open!

Didn't have any ptfe tape so just tightened it hard as I could. All sorted!

Did it come with a sealing washer? If it didn’t, and you didn’t tape it, it’s unlikely to be properly water tight.

Had a little rubber washer in the bottom. But it really needed my full force to get it to work.

You should be sorted then. Easy enough to test, open the taps and see if anything leaks.

Came back to house today (accidently left water on overnight). No issues. Thanks guys, I had to explain to the guy at screwfix exactly what I wanted as he didn't know!
