I did my best last night to learn why these women dress in such garments, but:

It is entirely acceptable so long as you don't insult them by calling them Tories, that is just too much of an insult to be acceptable.Do people in here just go round insulting everyone all the time?![]()
There is absolutely nothing Racist or Islamophobic in his comments. Some may say it is not very 'politically correct' and that is as far as it should go. It is not unlawful to be non PC as far as I am aware even in this day and age.
Oh, right, so now it's ok to be racist towards umbrellas as well?I did my best last night to learn why these women dress in such garments, but:

We're not even afraid, though.Islamophobic... A phobia is an irrational fear.
this.
a world where we can't criticise religion is a backward and very dangerous world - its been like that in the past and it wasn't a nice place to be.
many very senior imams are highly critical of the burka.
All this 'racism' nonsense is just that, nonsense.
Criticising religion (which Bonker Boris wasn't doing, he was criticising the clothing choice of certain people) is A-OK but any criticism of Israel is anti-Semitic is it?[SNIP]

See that’s not offensive to me. I’ve had just as bad and not been in the least offended.
It's probably about as offensive as calling someone a gammon, which plenty of people were up in arms about in SC.
I'm sure that makes sense to you . . .When all you've got is a hammer...
Without reading every comment, they were likely up in arms about the huge double-standard about there being far more tolerance when it comes to racial slights on white people, while white people are under constant scrutiny for anything that's 6 degrees of separation from something racist. The Boris comments are a prime example. It's probably about as offensive as calling someone a gammon, which plenty of people were up in arms about in SC.
We can criticise religion, I do it all time. (sic)
Clearly doesn't apply to Bonker Boris or his fanbase.Another (OcUK) place . . . said:Please be aware that from now on there will be no trolling of religious threads tolerated. Your beliefs may differ from those that others hold but we do ask that you show them some tolerance and do not post deliberately disrespectful or inflammatory comments about other peoples beliefs. The issue of beliefs is a sensitive one for many people and this does not mean that there can be no criticism of religion but do think about how you present your arguments.
It is unfortunate that this needs to be spelled out but if this simple request for a bit of respect and tolerance towards others and their beliefs is not followed then suspensions and bans will follow. It would be preferable for all parties if these measures could be avoided so please show a bit of courtesy and tolerance towards others. Thank you.
This; some people in Britain think Bonker Boris is a bit of a laugh, others think that like Trump with America, he would make Britain Great again.Boris acts like a buffoon, but he is not. It is all calculated and he is currently lining himself up for a leadership bid.
In my view, he is a dangerous man.

The man, like Enoch Powell is an absolute disgrace to the human race.
