Boris and the burka

You wish. :) "Racist" means the same as it always has, sorry.
I've had the misfortune to have to become well versed in dealing with progressive brain farts:

Definition of a "racial group"

The Act says a "racial group" means a "group of persons defined by reference to race, colour, nationality (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origins."

Definition of a "religious group"

The Act defines a religious group as, "a group of persons defined by reference to religious belief or lack of religious belief." This includes Muslims, Hindus and Christians, and different sects within a religion. It also includes people who do not hold any religious beliefs at all.

In contrast if the character of Jesus's existed today the worst that might happen is he would be arrested for a public order offence for causing a bit of a disturbance down at the local temple.
so they'd breeze over the whole resurrecting the dead bit then?
if he was around today he'd be on jeremy kyle "my mom was a virgin who was shagged by god!"

You do not get arrested or put before the Hague War crimes commity, in the west, for being born of a virgin or coming back to life after being crucified.

That character of Jesus is morally superior to the character of Muhammed.

I obviously don't believe any of the supernatural claims for either (winged midnight horse rides or walking on water etc)

In my experience, Islamophobes are usually bigots, yes. Some even claim to be experts of the Koran.

So you've generalised a group of people as racist and aren't open to an honest debate on the subject because of your preconceived ideas about them. Do you not see any irony there?

Anyway, before the discussion gets lost in a swamp of edgeboy tomfoolery, I posted this earlier in an attempt to get back on track. Any thoughts? What next for Boris?

*snip*

Anyway, before we get lost in semantic twaddle, I wonder what's next for the Tories and Boris.

Will his dog whistle garner enough support from the racist members of the party for him to threaten Theresa's leadership?

If not, will he feel there's enough support from the Little Englanders to break out on his own and form his own alternative right-wing party, or perhaps lead UKIP 2.0?

Interesting times. :)

Love it. Yadda complains about people being racist then throws around derogatory terms for whole groups of people...
