I never said it doesn't sell. I well aware that they sell, but the number of people who sell their x80s to by a x80ti is probably insignificant when looking at overall sales.
My point is that the ti serves only one purpose, to take the performance crown from AMD if they release something faster than x80, because being on top of the benchmark chart is the most important things for Nvidia. Nvidia will give you the consumer the card that is just enough to be at the top of the benchmarks, otherwise the x80ti would release at the same time as the rest of the stack. IMO thats the only reason why the x80ti cards release so late.
Assuming that it will be called a 2080 the only way we are going to see a 2080ti is if Nvidia believes that AMD has something to challenge the x80 cards, which assuming that AdoredTVs source is accurate Nvidia doesn't believe that AMD will have something to challenge them.
