Boris and the burka

I've already explained that earlier - it makes me feel very uncomfortable.
Why though, what harm are they causing you??
All you said is you get uncomfortable but I didn’t recall any reasons as to why??

If they are going about their daily lives like you are then what difference does it make??

Only thing it makes you is intolerant of other people’s choice in clothing.

Nothing to do with what harm they are doing its a general feeling of just being uncomfortable with something. Bit like standing in a bank next to someone wearing a balaklava. It just feels wrong, even if it is harmless.

It doesn't matter, in all religions 100s of things not in their Holy books are now accepted as the religion goes forwards (or backwards).
The burka is now a part of Muslim life.
Makes you wonder what's going to be dreamt up next and forced upon us without complaint or comment for fear of being called racist.

You're scared because it is something unknown, which is exactly what a phobia is...

A phobia isn't a fear of the unknown its an irrational or extreme fear of something or an aversion to it.

The niqab and burqua are visible expressions of a very virulent, repressive, totalitarian interpretation of Islam.

I would suggest there is nothing irrational or extreme with opposing the importation of such ideologies or having a strong dislike of them.

It's a bit of an irrational response. I get uncomfortable around dogs and I don't like flying. Where do we draw the line on banning something we as an individual feels uncomfortable with?

No one's forcing you to fly and dogs are generally banned from a wide range of otherwise freely accessible public venues (with the very small exception of guide dogs).

Like Boris said we should not ban such clothing but we're sure should not shy away from criticism and proportionate restrictions for certain venues and situations.

For example it should not be illegal for a business to discriminate for service and recruitment on the basis that a person wears such a garment and such a garment should not be permitted in any court ot other sentive public building or location.

Owen Jones is getting super salty over Boris' tea stunt yesterday:

and amusingly, in his anticipated Telegraph column today where people thought he'd comment on the issues, he's totally ignored it and talked about house building :D

Dear oh dear......toys everywhere!
Think you need to grow up, stop acting like a petulant child because you made some stupid comments and were pulled up on it. And still refuse to answer what I asked you.

I could just ignore you but I’d rather have a good laugh at the rubbish you post. Sometimes I need a good laugh and you provide plenty of those as seen in this thread.

Show me where it states in the koran where a woman has to wear a burka. Where?

I tired this earlier, I was told to "google it" and "educate myself" also "why should I spends time researching this", never did see any prrof or links to parts of the Koran that said anything like this. Just passive aggressive posts and insults.
