Boris and the burka

Yet his comment provoked attacks on Muslim women almost immediately after the fact, please stop hiding white-nationalism under the guise of a bloody joke.

He's a SITTING MP, and a major character at the front-line of news, his words regardless of frivolousness and joviality are powerful stressors for idiots who hate everything that isn't "local".
By 'attacks', do you mean 4 women being called letterboxes countrywide in the space of a week?

Or did I miss something worse than this?

Verbal and Mental abuse about something that some of these women might hold rather dear to them as their cultural identity is defensible then? Great, lovely.

Verbal abuse is now acceptable to hurl at defenseless women, heard it here, there is also something wildly awkward about telling women to remove their garments...

Man Can't wait for it to escalate to rape and killings next, you know revenge against harmless innocents tend to be on the table for recent events, just gotta wait for some whistling from yon-high Preachers of White-Nationalism to accidentally say something abrasive.

I didn't say it was a good thing, or defensible. I was checking that by using the word 'attacks' you weren't referring to an actual crime. As opposed to literally an uttered jibe. Suggesting the next step is rapes and killings is moronic. Get a grip.

Don't worry the islamists are far more advanced in the UK when it comes to their actions

Oh no, yet another article proving the police are on the ball by arresting them and the court's jailing them... woe is thine.

Apparently not so much when it has come to grooming gangs where certain cultural views reinforced by a certain patriarchal religion (and its views of 'unmodest' women) are in play?

There seem to be a lot more woman out wearing the Burka directly after these comments.

There was one in a restaurant the other day, it just looked weird, totally impractical and probably quite messy I'd imagine. The men with them in shorts and trendy clothes always makes me laugh as well.

So now you seem to be suggesting that Bonker Boris was "not too far off" in comparing women wearing a burqa or a niqab to bank robbers and that this was not in any way racist - it seems also that you share his point of view.

Yup I do share his view - the clothing choice, going around dressed as a ninja, is stupid and oppressive and worthy of ridicule. I don't however think that we should legislate to ban it (in general) as people are free to wear what they like.

(we do need to be prepared to demand removal at say airports or banks etc.. and I don't have any issue with some businesses banning it on their premises just as say hoodies have been banned in some shopping centres.)

ref that story about the Sharia patrols...

"The judge said that her sentencing powers were restricted because the prosecution had chosen not to prefer religiously aggravated offences."

Why would they do that? I mean surely there was quite clearly a religious angle here they could use?

If likening someone's clothing to a pillar box or bank robber causes such stress, anxiety and offence then are these people emotionally stable enough to be part of society? I mean if something as ridiculously petty as these comments is enough to spark such a reaction, who knows what they are capable of if someone said something truly hurtful....

And you do realise that some women who wear the burka view all men as sex pests just waiting to harass them the moment an uncovered face is seen?

I wonder how Jews fare walking around Islamic countries in their traditional dress.
Or that Stacey Dooley youtube video where she tried to have a discussion with a woman in a Niqab who is part of a protest, and the muslim lady tells Stacey - who has been perfectly polite and inquisitive to that point - that she looks naked, and asks her who is she trying to seduce. Is this racist because Stacey is a different race, religion and wears different clothes? No - as much as I think the muslim woman's view is backward. Therefore neither is taking the mickey out of a woman in a Niqab. Couldn't be any simpler.

Je suis letter box.
Je suis Royal Mail!!

What's so ******* 'offensive' about a letterbox anyway? I suppose to the deluded radical left islamophiles it represents the proud red phallus of the patriarchy.
It's because they think they are a special case, and Islam is sacred. It is sacred to them, but that doesn't mean they get to say we have to hold it sacred. That's western values, which are what you have to live by in the UK.
