Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

Hi all, sorry if its already been asked. Will I be able to pre-order a new 2080 card from OCUK come Monday? I'm eager to get the first batch (preferably ti) as i've already sold one card from my SLI 1080s :)

Pretty sure Monday will just be demos and announcing the the new cards.

How were preorders handled for the 1080 luanch were they sold out fast or did ye have a few days to order for the 1st batch?

The "first batch" of AIB cards usually was 5 units. Seriously besides MSI Gaming and Palit/Gainward, getting anything else for about a month was a nightmare.

Better than someone who just pulled some baseless BS theories out of their behind.

So you're response to me posing a couple of questions on why Nvidia are releasing all cards at once is to call it 'baseless BS theories'?

Great dialogue, you must be a stitch in person. Maybe you should come up with a counter argument when someone calls you out instead of becoming offensive.

Not surprising though is it. Not many people here are genuinely neutral and unbiased.

Just look at old jigger here, he says Nvidia should be providing 25% a year performance improvement, yet when I ask if that is the case why did that not happen from RX 480 to RX 580, he says he does not know what I am talking about or ignores it, lol.

I'm sure you are well aware that RX480 - 580 wasn't a new generation, rather a simple respin. You could argue that Pascal was just a respin too but Nvidia would say otherwise, hence the larger improvement over the previous cards.

25% used to be achievable in new gen cards but it's becoming more difficult the smaller the node. AMD are also falling way behind due to being extremely cash strapped and picking their fights very carefully.

AMD might make a comeback but I can't see it happening soon unless people see AMD products as a viable alternative, if not a better one in some cases. They need the income, badly.
