Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

out of the 3, only the 2080 has a price approaching sanity.

the wait continues.

Yup. Just a shade under €900 for the 2080 Gigabyte Windforce. Probably a €100-€150 more then i'm comfortable with but 3 years of waiting from the 980ti is long enough.

ok, now how long will it be before maxwell driver support reaches EOL?

And I find it a bit disgenious to not include soft shadows. Nvidia has always been known to do hard backed shadows, not the gaming development industry.

its not 'twice the TI performance'. you weren't listening. only for ray-tracing WHICH NO GAME USES YET.

Which begs the obvious question, how do they stack up without that? Omission of this info is very worrying... but we'll see soon enough from benchmarks where things stand.

I think I may just get a Xbox One X to go alongside my PS4 and stick with my pc as it is for a few more generations..

All I have to say is R.I.P PC Gaming...

I said this a few generations back soon the normal prices will be £1000+ for a GPU that use to cost half the price or less and people then also complained about the price. People said will not happen, well here we are...

Well keep buying keep getting screwed.. Even Samsung has jumped on this bandwagon Apple started, Intel added to and Nvidia well was always testing the waters as far as they could, from the re-badging mid range to high end and so on.. The 2080Ti is not their top chip people.. Don't be fooled that should have been the 2080 and the 2080 the 2070.. Give it 8 or so months or a year and the real 2080Ti will appear.

Anyways I'm out and tired of this silliness with the hardware now. They can keep them and rather waste my money on better hobbies.

Heads up no benchmarks because they are not much faster in your current games, this RTX is another gimp works in action. This is why they will not compare current titles on it that don't have RTX support.

Currently its a massive question mark, everything was about ray tracing. Performance didn't really come into it at all. It wouldn't surprise me if these cards when reviewed aren't that much faster than the current cards and they're more built for the rt tech than actual fps improvements.

Confused. While RTX is pretty, RTX off had no light what-so-ever from that those effects, it didn't look like a comparison to current methods vs new methods it looked like someone had turned off the effects altogether, or am I going bonkers?
