Brand Choice

This really isn't the case.

Some cards cool well, whilst others have poor cooling. Some have a 2 year warranty, whilst others have 5 years.

For me, I have bought lots of different brands but my fav of recent times goes to MSI. The cooler on the Gaming X 1080 Ti I have is great and quiet. The chips are a lottery with whoever you buy from, so hard to judge on that.

I look for a good warranty and as I no longer watercool, a good cooler.
Gregster picking holes in my post? Never! lol

I don't think "poor" cooling is fair at all. Some are better than others but I don't think OCUK sell any card that will throttle out of the box. Nope. So, for most people. A non issue.
Warranty lengths vary for sure. I mentioned that...

Not picking holes, just putting you straight.

As an example, we have this card.

Now whilst that is a blower card, which is ideal for smaller cases/SLI (can we still call it that?) as it exhausts out the back or you can put a waterblock on easily, if you had a roomy case and good airflow, that wouldn't be a good buy.

Then you have this card.

Triple fan but not sure on how the fins and heatpipes would deal with keeping the card cool and stopping throttling and only a 2 year warranty.

We then go for a card like this.

5 year warranty, The Amp cooler is very good (but does look big, so would need to check case fitting).

So hence why I picked your post up. :)

is zotac any more clearer if it 2 years UK warranty and when 3 years at Hong Kong or 3 UK- 2 HK???

last time spoke with them they were still listing UK distributor that went bust at the start of the year or sooner ...

also dont forget to register the extra 2 years warranty :)

Genuinely don't know, as never had a Zotac card except a OG Titan that I bought from the MM and the chap said he would help out if needed in the warranty period (which was quite a long time left. Checked Zotac and states 5 year but again, no idea. I did have a Asus Titan, which went bang and it took near 6 weeks to get replaced, as it had to go to China, which was quite disappointing for such a premium price brand.

Ah titan. That screams Nvidia reference board and AIB had to purchase the whole product from NV until it went all in-house. Hopefully that was a once off your you , at least with any brand

You guys have to remember OcUK will also look after all the brands for their warranty period, so irrelevant of the brand you buy, on the basis you buy from us your in good hands. :)

Plus with brands like Asus we have advanced RMA, so we can literally swap out your product typical within 48hr. :)
Good service.
You may have this covered already but if not, might be worth ensuring buyers can see this information easily when browsing the shop. I personally wasn't quite aware how comprehensively you have the warranty stuff covered for the full warranty period.
