Had the email about price increase. £4 per month.

Then I checked my account and released that I took this contract out in June last year! I'm sure I had a calendar reminder setup for it! Uchhh.

A new contract is £42 a month for 350 vivid and a phone line weekends for 12 months. SH3 is rubbish but in modem mode it’s fine. I easily get 375mb with it in modem mode.
 
Will be shortly moving house and looking on getting a decent deal. Currently paying £52 for 100mb, medium TV and phone line, we don't have a house phone, barely watch the TV and our '100mb' is actually 350mb+. Highest speed I've had in modem mode was 645mb, don't ask how.

Looking on getting the VIP package with the 350mb+ in our new house for £89 a month for 12 monthes, not interested in the phone line or Sky Movies, only really want the 350, Sky Sports and TV, so gonna try see if they can sort a customer discount and mix the package up abit.

Well I said on the phone I wanted to continue my VIVID 200 Gamer package as all I cared about was the 20MB upload, absolutely no mention of it changing to plain VIVID 200..

Get home to find the contract stating VIVID 200... Annoyed to say the least!

I think I'll have to go down this route now... I have a SH3 already so could just swap over.

Don't really need 200 let alone 350!!!

Has the upload speed dropped down to 10 - 11Mbs though?

I am in the same position holding onto my SH2 and Vivid 200 Gamer package even though my contract has long expired and I could get a better deal if I renewed.

Rang up last night, ended up with the 350 package for the same price for 18 months.

Happy enough with that.
 
went through the annual renewal ordeal again. renewed for 12months with broadband-only 200mbit for £27.50 with no increase in oct. £27.50 takes into account some account credit they added.
I feel a little let down and I'm regretting not pushing them harder.

Better than the £30 pm I ended with for the same deal.
Although I do have £27 being credited back to me for next month's bill
 
I might need to put my SH3 into modem mode. I can’t get above 150mb on it and I’m on 350 package. What’s a good router to go with it, hopefully not too expensive?
 
ill post the offers retention's offered me today in case it helps anyone. I called up and cancelled, then they called me back today and offered the following.
Broadband only:
100mbit - £27/month + £50 account credit = £22.83/month
200mbit - £32/month + £50 account credit = £27.83/month
350mbit - £37/month + £50 account credit = £32.83/month
 
Not sure if this has been asked recently but im looking at maybe adding a better router to my SH 3.0 as I need to use windows vpn to connect to a few sites I consult with. Really not looking to spend the earth but do want some decent performance too as my kids use my vivid 350 line most days for streaming and gaming etc too. any ideas?
 
I hate VM pricing - I pay £37 which includes a loyalty discount of £3. This time last year I was paying £27 which included a £10 loyalty discount for 200mbit.

Time to ring up and play the cancel game AGAIN!!!!!

Just phoned virgin media to renegotiate my package for TV BB and phone. Currently pay £46pm for 100Mb BB MixTV and phone line (never used the phone tbh)

Got cut off 5 times after being onhold for a total of 75 mins I get straight through to a guy who instantly drops the bill to £39 including the price increase in October and ups the BB to 200Mb down 15Mb. Up took some effort but we'll worth it!
 
Just wondering if anybody here has used there SH3 in modem mode for gaming?

Did you notice any differences in ping/packet loss? I game only with my PC which is connected directly to my HUB3 and I am considering getting a router to try and fix some of the Ping/Packet loss issues.

Have any of you used the HUB3 in modem mode with or without another router and was it any better for gaming?
