I seem to recall that DG was adamant such tactics would not prevail over the entire season and those with many wins would be above oz_2005. Seems oz knows how the stats work better than anyone on here.

all joking and banter aside i would not be surprised if oz_2005 was trying to highlight the failings of the current ranking system. i doubt anyone would intentionally play that way for so long unless there was another purpose to it.

Erangel - School/Mil Base
Miramar - Hacienda/Possibly Pecado
Sanhok - Bootcamp/Paradise

Dropping outside of these is NOT a hot drop, just an FYI. Dropping into a town, which is kinda busy - is just dropping.

You're right @Thekwango - stats are broken. Always have been. Pretty much why after season 1/2, the so called pros/streamers stopped competing for a top spot.
 
I miss dropping in apartments! Haven't dropped there in yonks. It's where I used to drop when I first started playing, ahhh the memories!! :D

Ditto. Love apartments. The loot is rng so no point complaining if its bad, it is what it is there, but the fighting there can be a lot of fun. Especially when you get the school lot coming over!

One of my first games with the Discord lot was dropping there.

Watched a game of oz_2005 on that replay website. He played Sanhok and dropped way out to sea and didn't move until the 3rd circle forced him to shore. Ended up 2nd!

Impressive in a dull, David-Blane-in-a-glass-box-for-6-weeks kind of way.

this month i hotdropped all month. got 2000. so it shows how bad some are. it doesnt matter if you surf or dont surf the circle and hot drop. you cant criticise if you cant get a decent score for the month. as it shows regardless of style you can still achieve a decent rating if you are decent.regardless. so stats are fine. just need to play better at whatever style you play.

anything under 1900 regardless of style you play is xbox live level of play.

Would have expected bigger numbers if your squad are doing nothing but hot dropping and winning games. Less than 2 kda all round.

Think there’s been a bit of confusion among certain folks over what is actually a hot drop and what isn’t. Seems some think that dropping to small buildings relatively near the likes school, pecado etc class as hot dropping.
It’s a bit awkward so probably best to let it blow over! :p
