Gibbo, i know i said the ball was in Nvidias court the other day, but man, that MSI 1080 TI is the only one I wanted. I'm hovering over the pre order button...!

Did someone say smarties are included?

I may be the only one who likes that yellow on the Zotac?

Very nice Big impressive looking Cooler too

I hate the yellow on my Zotac 1080 what the hell is hi vis doing in with my black and red but deals dictate buys not colors so save money on the non window pc cases too!

Sad to see also after 2 years the same generation brand new only £100 less than when it came out and they are trying to clear a backlog. Overprice the new cards to get rid of the old stock is an old trick there is no way in hell a 1080 is worth £499 or 2080 for £650.

They barely do 4k Medium in new games beyond 60fps and if 35% is what yoy get from 1080 to 2080 with all the RT and new stuff OFF whats the point of buying anything now?

Smarties or Frazzles or Monster Munch instead of Haribo, hell yeah! @Gibbo

£600+ for a card that will be "old tech" in a couple of weeks, unbelievable!

It used to be that we only got "gouged" on the new cards, Nvidia by pricing there new card so high have also found a way of getting "top $" for the outgoing cards as well, you got to hand it to them!

This doesn't make sense. So the 1080 was worth buying at £600, but now you don't think it's worth £500?

So can you explain why? What has come out that makes in not worth that much? :)

The new stock isn't over priced (considering what you paid for you card), it's in line with the 10 Series based on the die size.
Now using some of that die on ray tracing is probably a waste for most people, but that makes the 10 Series better value in comparison.

Note the "New" tech isn't a big jump this time, as the 12mn process is only an enhanced version of TSMC's 16nm process rather than a new fab process.

When we get 7nm we should see decent performance increases. Price will depend on production costs and competition from other customers of the 7nm process.

Not to mention it's for preorder with no date specified. People may well have the 2080 in their hands before that MSi 1080ti card arrives in OCUK warehouse.
The stock is due mid next week, only 300 units expected and so far around 20 pre-sold and we have not advertised deal yet, so the MSI will prove popular.
Also when the MSI stock lands, the price will go up to around £650, hence why it makes sense to pre-order.

Gigabyte at £629.99 will last longer.
