Yeah I've got a bit of clearance but not a horrendous amount. From looking at pictures they should fit pretty snug. If they don't I'll just return them. Thanks
Received a Castillo Perfetto today. Hoping for some proper grim northern weather this weekend now![]()
It's an ironic name, as the ass saver might save about 4% of my overall ass lolAss saver is obviously easier but only gives you 20% coverage whereas Raceblades give much more. I used Raceblade Long/XL's for several years on my Giant Defy 1 2015 with really tight clearances. Great guards, far far far better than the more expensive Giant specific 'speedshields' (which I tried 2 iterations of).
Great jerseys those castillos!
I've got an alpha still waiting to be used!
You'd be mad berger, just get something second hand to tie you over until it comes that you can then flog on again.
Went out early this morning with rain due to fall from 10 onwards. Decided to try out my castelli alpha, with a vest underneath. Worked really well with the dual front zips kept warm enough across my body. Almost completely ruined it about 25 mins in to my ride when I had a huge moment on a tight left hander, just caught some moisture/gravel and front wheel gave way massively but then gripped up somehow. Still unsure how I stayed upright.
Carrying on my ride I then got pelted by a gritter.... I had no words. It was 9c at the time and due to rain all day today so will probably wash most of it away. And not due to go below 5 tonight so no idea what they're up to.
Oh and it's still not raining.
I was laughing to myself while reading your post about you seeing the gritters out, but https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gcp618npj#?date=2018-10-07 predicts Butser Hill is going to feel like -1C tomorrow morning in the fresh northerly wind with gusts up to ~47mph overnight!
Do I need to fit my 45Nrth Gravdals to my fatbike and ride that tomorrow?![]()
Almost as long since you last rode?Don't think I've been in this thread for almost a year, work is ruining my chances of being in the pro peloton!![]()
And that's around 5% coverage for the rest of us lolIt's an ironic name, as the ass saver might save about 4% of my overall ass lol
You would be mad, but also totally understandable. See loads of people selling 'S/H' warrantied framesets as nobody can reasonably be expected to wait that long. Would you buy Cervelo again? At least they're covering it...Would I be mad to give Cervelo a big FU.
Buy a Kinesis T3, carbon fork, headset, BB and cranks (maybe £600 new).
Sell brand new R5 frameset when it arrives (RRP £3300) not sure what I’d get for it second hand?
Not sure I can cope another 3 months only being able to ride on the turbo on the TT bike.

@ThaReaperGuy might have an R5 you can buy, he's not using his *hides*![]()
Was mostly in jest! Good to see you back, got to keep getting out - it's the only way to get quicker!*Cries in realisation*
Although I used it this weekend, however I would have completed it faster by walking!
Christ, a year without riding properly ruins you.
Interested in how you find them and which particular ones they are. I own the Sidi Hydro and Northwave Fahrenheit but only wore winter boots a handful of times even during the snow. I've generally found merino socks, leg warmers and overshoes enough but my commute is <10 mins and I wouldn't generally ride for multiple hours in sub zero temps/torrential freezing rain anyway.
Hey, my ass is huge for comfort reasonsAnd that's around 5% coverage for the rest of us lol![]()
You clearly receive the newsletter.![]()

Didn't you use to commute? Why'd you stop?![]()
