A 10 parter based on the gothic novel of the same name, and one of my favourite books of the genre.

Only watched the first episode so far, but it looks to be proper spooky.

Started watching this last night, at first I was a little confused on what was going on and who was who, as it kept switching to different people in different years, towards the end it started to make a little more sense. Not sure what to make of it yet.

Started watching episode 1 last night and to start with I was put off by one of the protagonists narrating the story. I hate that for some reason.

However it's extremely promising.

Two episodes in, it's a reaaaaaaaaallllllllyyyyyyyyyyy long burner apparently. I have nothing to do right now but I can't be doing with a 3rd episode atm, too boring.

I'm half way through episode 2 but completely agree with what I've seen so far. The constant flashbacks aren't helping either. It does look promising though I'm not sure if I can make it through the whole season!

On episode 8 at the moment. It is an incredibly slow burn, but, it is also (so far at least) incredibly well put together. Each episode adds new details, the creepiness and sense of uncertainty, the infrequent but effective jump scares, details in every scene. I hope it wraps up well but I am really enjoying it so far.

Watched the first 4 episodes last night, it's got promise but imo it'd be better building on the stuff that plays with your head rather than cheap jump scares.

Twenty-five minutes into the first episode before gay sex. Probably not a record but at least they fulfilled their legal obligation.

Finished and enjoyed it. Not quite what I expected but cast was solid and it achieved what it set out to do. Not sure if this is what the novel was like??

Same. Just finished the 4th and really enjoying it which given it goes at the pace of a 3 legged sloth is saying something.

It definitely isn't all action and has a steady pace, but there is always progress with the story.

I find other shows just don't progress the story enough. Struggling a bit with man in the high castle for that reason.

Really looking forward to seeing more episodes of this.

The time jumps are starting to get a little confusing especially when you get to the end of episode 5, I'm hoping it's explained before I get to the end of s1.

It does but you have to keep up with it else it can get a little confusing.
