ebay seller not selling

All ok. Just knocked on his door and asked him to hand over the item asap as I had blocked his neighbours driveway and was on a rush ;) Looked a bit surprised but ambush works.
Where did you find the address? I've looked in the advanced search section as suggested above, but nothing in there other than for sales and shops. I don't like the sound of that at all!

I don’t either. It depends on the situation. I would think differently if the poster had been done out of money, but he hadn’t. The seller simply didn’t want to sell. Imo, he had no right to start turning up on his doorstep, ambush fashion to get the item.

Why not? The seller agreed to sell it, if they wanted a certain amount that's what reserves are for.
Ignoring that fact just going quiet is a **** move at least let the person know you have no intention of selling it to them.

It’s his home. A home is a personal space. He didn’t rip him off. He had no right plotting up at his door. If it had been me, he would have been sorry he did it.

If you're that precious about personal space then selling stuff on ebay as collection only is a pretty dumb idea to start with surely??

I would not have handed it over.
Is not a legal thing you have to sell it.

It's called a contract dear.

Put the keyboard down. Everyone has legal permission to go up to someones front door, it's not a violation of personal space.

I bid on a car years back on eBay it was spares or repair suspect head gasket. I won it for the grand total of 99p!! I thought I'll never hear from the seller but nope within about 20 minutes I had a message from him with his contact information and address. When I went to collect the car the boy couldn't be any nicer and even gave me the face for the stereo which to be honest there had been no mention of the CD player in the listing!! It turned out it was a split water hose behind the cylinder head and I sorted the car within a few hours. But just shows not all eBay sellers are bad.

Yep, people with a brain who are not prepared to sell something for 99p either put a reserve price or use a fixed price listing.
