Amazon Data Breach

Like the last facebook breach (not the one before that, the most recent one) the new GDPR laws won't hit them with big fines.

We'll see

I heard about it becuase I got an email from them telling me that they had accidentally disclosed my data. I phoned Amazon but the guy told me that he was limited in what he was allowed to say - which was basically the same as the email. He also told me he was expecting overtime today answering calls, so it actually sounds pretty serious.

Aren't they supposed to tell you who took your data.
I've not had an email does that mean I'm safe. Sure I have 2FA on mine anyway.

These big corporations probably just sell data to the highest bidder using some hidden offshore account and then claim to have been hacked.
