76 trans children at one school

He was a Seal when he was a man

He transitioned to a woman after he got PTSD

Says all you need to know about this mental illness

You haven't watched the video, have you? If you had you'd realise you're talking nonsense because it addeses both of those points. :)

I must say that in my 11 years of schooling back in the dark ages of the 20th century [ when men were men , blah blah ]
I can't remember any boy who was unhappy being a boy and wanted to be a girl, or vicey-versa.

I mean I was unhappy being a weedy boy with no upper body strength who was the only one in the entire class
who couldn't climb the rope during PE [ the humiliation, it still haunts me ] but I didn't want to put on a skirt
and join the girls at hockey.

Can we blame the fact that many boys are brought up in a single parent, non working , female only household ?

A lot of children drawn into this are autistic. The correlation is something around 40% between autism and being identified as trans. That's very high and there's also the undiagnosed cases. It's an appealing narrative for a child who struggles with social interaction because they get the double-whammy of first being told there's a reason they don't feel the same as others and it's because they have "the wrong brain". Suddenly they're no longer worried about the fact they don't get the other girl's cliquishness or the other boy's humour, they now believe there's a socially approved reason for this. The second benefit is that they are then immediately supplied a template of how they should behave, dress, look - that of the gender stereotypical idea of their opposite sex. Both of which are a lot nicer to live with than "you just don't get it." Especially when you have a sudden load of attention and praise for being trans.

I'm not aware of male/female parenting being a factor. I've heard some heart-breaking stories about mothers who tried to make their son into a daughter. The head of Mermaids (Susie Green) is in fact a woman who took her son to Thailand at 16 to be castrated (something illegal in the UK and Thailand actually changed their laws in response to her doing this - they'd never NEEDED a law against it before then), for example. I do think there are some extreme man-hating women who want their son to not be a son and have gone this route insisting "he's a girl". But I've seen no good evidence that it's a primary or even major factor. I think the current TRA movement is largely operating much like a cult. It just scoops up vulnerable people and, like a lot of cults, exploits them sexually. You can find TRA groups on reddit where they target and groom young teenagers whom they call "eggs", encouraging them to identify as trans and discouraging them from listening to people who try to talk them out of it. I'll post a few examples when I have a moment.

There's probably a very good reason why suicide rates in the Trans community are incredibly high. Guess the "smart" people haven't figured that one out yet.

You make a valid point. But it brings up another one I'd like to raise which is the "Suicide Myth". If you look in official materials to schools by groups like Scottish Trans, you'll see terrifying figures about suicide rates amongst trans people. The figures are used as a stick to beat parents with who try to talk their child out of transitioning. Basically: if you don't immediately affirm (agree) your child's new gender, your child will kill themself. There are three problems with the figures. Firstly, they are a misrepresentation that even authors of the studies they're drawn from have sometimes objected to. Secondly, they don't typically account for co-morbidities. I.e. if a trans-identified child is autistic, depressed, bi-polar or anything else, the figures say: "this trans child killed themselves". And co-morbidities with Gender Dysphoria are shockingly high. Thirdly, there's little evidence to show that transitioning helps in a significant number of cases. There's evidence that people who have gone through full SRS (sex-reassignment surgery) feel better in the immediate after period. Say, the first year, iirc. But like buying a new pair of shoes or the latest gaming rig, the high wears off and you realise you're still stuck with the same problems and life you had before. Not for everyone, of course. But those who are happier are paraded as the normal whilst the reality is it appears not to generally reduce suicide rates. Which would make sense if the cause isn't actually that you're born in the wrong body.

The issue with this is due to "progressive" ideas, people who identify as another gender are never questioned for other underlying reasons. There are a multitude of mental health disorders that cause confusion over identity. If anyone questions someones identify they're labelled as transphobic.

Young people grow out of gender dysphoria and this is never really explored as it's assumed if someones says "I am a girl" when born a boy it's in stone.

De-transitioning is the great heresy of TRAs. It's not supposed to happen. Because if it does the entire notions of sex being based on some inner-knowledge rather than biology goes down the toilet and the arguments for transitioning children collapse. Which is why a researcher at the Bath Spa university found his grant for studying detransitioning suddenly withdrawn when TRAs found out about it and began hassling the university. Or why you see conversations like the one I'll post in a minute once I dig it out.

Why do you think that is?

No idea you tell me, that's I said "there's probably a good reason for it".

Maybe something to do with the same issue that plaques the youth, with suicide rates being on the rise in 15-24 age group, with the largest increase being that of females. Likely to do with the massive increase in mental health issues and the complete lack of support available to help with those things.

They would lack the balls to sign up to fight (pun not intended) and instead would likely congregate around parliament begging for surrender and how we "don't understand" the Russians & Chinese and it wouldn't be culturally appropriate to fight them

Oh, we're having that kind of debate. Carry on chap, I'll be over there.

Havn't watched it but not surprised in the least. Theres another lengthy thread on another forum where the equivalent of this woman are banging on anyone who dares challenge them throwing academic papers and anything else to "prove" they're right and shout down anyone who doesn't agree with them. No, there are not multiple genders just two everything else is a developmental abnormality but that doesn't fit their agenda at all. Its just so jaw dropping I don't even trust myself to answer.

I don't see what is racist about that sentence :p

Sorry my mistake should have pointed out Munroe was sacked by L'Oriel for saying all whites are racist. Cis/Trans/helicopter, Munroe should be kept off air. Not the best spokesperson for anything.

Munroe: “Most of ya’ll don’t even realise or refuse to acknowledge that your existence, privilege and success as a race is built on the backs, blood and death of people of colour. Your entire existence is drenched in racism.”

I said I'd share a few examples of some of what is going on behind the scenes. Here is a woman whose son "socially transitioned" at 4yo. I.e. he was dressed as a girl, given a girl's name, etc. The parent is worried because her child is refusing to take puberty blockers and the mother posts on a TRA Facebook group seeking advice. I'd invite you to really read this - it's horrifying the more you think about it. N.b. if you find it confusing, the child is MALE. But the poster refers to him as "she", "her" and "daughter" throughout. Not only is the mother ******* crazy, but look at the advice from TRAs she gets in return also!

Here is a response on a TRA subreddit to a member who is starting to question whether they are actually trans and is thinking of "going back" to being a girl. N.b. how cult-like the response is - avoid people who disagree, you're being weak, don't betray the group, etc.

And for "humour", someone suggested noted Trans Activist Zinia Jones's advice to school children who are uncertain about their gender (specifically "get **** early, suck **** often") might not be the best. This is Zinia's response:

In the real world, transphobia is classed as a hate crime and is illegal in the UK. I'm disappointed that so many keyboard transphobes are allowed to use the OCUK GD forum as their safe space.

So many horrible threads in GD, and always the same old faces spouting-off in them. :(

I think you're (understandably) conflating Transexuals with "Trans". Which is what a lot of people who haven't been directly exposed to this stuff assume. The majority of MtF Trans people do not have Sex Reassignment Surgery. Quite often they don't even take hormones. They just dress as women, enter women's spaces and continue trying to sleep with women.

"Transphobia" is rather broad and includes simply disagreeing with certain claims by trans groups, such as posters in this thread are doing. That doesn't constitute a hate crime, there is no general crime of "transphobia".

Thing is why do they even need to conform to gender norms? Thats the thing that seem to conflict with it, there are plenty of women who dress ambiguously or dress in male clothing but identify as female stiff and are still recognisable as being female simply through having a pretty face in spite of wearing mens clothes and keeping their hair short.

Now if someone is an MtF Trans person who doesn't take hormones and doesn't have surgery but the only thing defining them is the wearing of makeup and women' clothing then presumably someone who is biologically wears no makeup and mens clothing can identify as MtF trans too and can identify as a lesbian so they carry on sleeping with women.

If society changed so that gender norms were largely merged, say women and men wearing similar clothes etc... unisex toilets and changing rooms everywhere then I wonder what would become of the MtF trans people who don't take hormones, don't have surgery and only really identify as such by dressing female.

Your definition of "disagreeing" must be different to mine.
