looks like RTX "on" just got a nice boost in BF5

I agree, people going giddy on a measly 64fps RT on at 1440p...even less at 3440x1440p

By the time the games are out we will be on the 3000 series gpu.
73 FPS at 1440P now using medium RT, up from 61 for me when I was using low RT. Depends on map though, a few still around 62 :). While some are higher (80FPS+). That's ultra everything but medium RT although I think the difference between medium and ultra isn't much as I accidently had ultra set earlier when I tried to compare.
As for 115FPS what someone else said (cant play less than), a 1080 Ti wont be doing that at 1440P using DX12 with everything on ultra I don't think either.
It's great to use to be honest :). Roll on next gen too. IMO people are missing out by not giving it a try now :p.

My 2080Ti does around 144hz on all ultra settings 1440p, depending on the map. Some more some slightly less. But usually it’s always around the 130-165hz mark on dx11.

Too much of a performance loss for me.

this stinks of Nvidia selling tactics. They knew this would be a hard sale at the price it was on so they held back RTX performance due to performance being poor. They release with really really poor performance and than they release a driver with poor performance that seems like good performance due to the shoddy performance of before. Result is aload of people fall over themselves to buy an RTX card!

IMO I’m missing out on rubbish FPS for a premium cost.

Slant it how you like.

I get as many frames per second playing BF5 with everything maxed as I do playing Crysis 3 with everything maxed. BF5 looks better also.
Don't take no notice of him Gregster. As he happens to own a 100hz monitor currently, anything less than 100fps automatically becomes crap. In a few years when he upgrades, the bar will change yet again. End of the day only YOU can tell what YOU find perfectly playable to be playable.

I personally could not give a rats arse what anyone else says. There are those out there who consider 144fps to not be smooth and not good enough and won't play anything less than 240fps, does that mean people happily gaming at 100fps are wrong? Horses for courses, but he finds that hard to understand for some reason :p

He is one of those people who believes that he is right about everything and that only his opinion matters, also comes across as arrogant and egotistical.
Otherwise known as a troll

Agreed and if I find it smooth enough, that is good enough for me. He is like this, as he insisted on and put it so many times that "30 fps @ 1080P is lol" but clearly he is miles off and I played for quite a bit yesterday and frames were good enough for my liking. I love me some banter but watching Easy insisting he made the right choice by getting a 18 month old EOL card for £600 and then seeing him berate anything to do with RTX is the funniest thing yet :D

No spending £1300 for sub 60 fps gaming is the funniest thing yet. :)

So why did you buy the X34 predator? FPS killer and expensive too :). I don't understand the moaning about GPU prices if someone has paid a grand or more for the monitor that needs expensive GPU;s to drive well.

I bought 2 x 27" dells for my recording studio. Few days later I sold them and bought a ultrawide. The ultrawide is perfect for a DAW and video editing is a revelation. I do more than game. The X34 ticked both boxes.

You stated you were getting 40 FPS I can link if you have forgotten:p

Keep up! Your lies and constructed rhetoric will soon bite you in the **** :p

Pre-patch. at least RTX owners have the option. e.g. I can play BFV no DXR at 1440p ultra >110fps or turn on DXR and get a perfectly playable >60fps. the £1300 card you slate so much is still a beast at non-DXR games. that won't change.

I know how fast the 2080ti is over a 1080ti...its 35%
