Spot on!
In my mind I also feel its easier for me, I can sell the car privately with no hassle and get more money, yes I know you can still sell a car privately with finance, but I like the least hassle option.
Plus if I was buying a car privately and the car had finance on it as daft as it might sound but it would put me off looking at said car, why I don't know because I know its not a real issue as the guy who purchased my M3 CSL had finance on his Porsche and he had to pay that off to get my CSL or something like that, I left it all to him all I was bothered about is that I had the monies in my bank.

and the joke of all of this is, it's easier for me to buy a Ferrari than you !!!!!!!!!!!!! because yous truly, the skint time waster, owns two houses and hasn't had a mortgage for 25 years, and a remortgage is less than what i'm spending now on my RC Toys.............. in fact, i've covered the cost of a re-mortgage already...............i QUIT SMOKING ! .......but i aint bought a car? yea i'm addicted to looking only, plus i've become a bit of a scrooge :D but it's not the money at all, i need to change my whole mindset and this has to be done before April

Ferrari probably won't happen, I am sure buying a Ferrari to drive as a daily would be one of the worse decision ever.
More likely 570S or GT3 or just keep the SVR.

In 2019 you need to actually go and buy the car you want!
Because we never know what tomorrow brings, as Housey has said many a time life is for living because circumstances can change with no warning and we never know what tomorrow may bring.

yes you're right i have got the owner details of the Evos i'm after and my guess i'll be ok until about the spring..........i need to shift into gear after Xmas, if these Evos are sold there's always others on MLR..........

i dont think a Ferrari is your type of car anyway, you're hands on, too much of a petrolhead, ........... your type of car is a Ford GT or a Shelby Le mans, you need something exclusive and smart, yet something that you can Track too/play around with................... your BMW is deffo a clue to where your heart resides.

you want to mod your SVR don't you........ you wisely dont, but you still want to. wont you think the same if you bought a Ferrari ???????????

a ferrari is not for daily use...............no because some **** will key it when you leave it in a supermarket, or it'll cost you a fortune in service bills if you drive it too often !

Make it a promise Mal X. Let’s make it official.

I can almost guarantee there still won’t be a Evo good enough for Mal X in 2019. In fact I will glad put cold hard cash on a ladbrookes (if they will take it!).

Life is too short - which has already been said a number of times in this thread.

How about a forum sweepstake?

Own one and PCP on the other. I got 0% interest for the whole of the PCP period on my Skoda so it seemed stupid to pay for it outright up front . Even if I just pay the balloon payment at the end, I'll have paid no more than what I would have paid at the beginning and I kept the cash in the meantime (although interest rates are so low there's not much benefit from that).

the other alternative is of course something similar to an Evo...............but much newer, where you know for sure what needs replacing just to be future proof........... i.e a WRX STI with 2k on the clock and get the bottom end sorted out, i.e the Ringland failure issue...........this can be done up the road! get this up to 400 HP, you may as well..............there's little difference between the two cars, the WRX STI i drove i loved, this is the most sensible option..............Evo with restorations = the same price as a low mileage STI with a rebuilt engine...........any other car? no way because then i'll start looking all over again and not buying anything....... i need to stop the research, the research was done ages ago !

I genuinely am worrying for your mental state based on you posts this week Malcolm. I’d urge you to leave this forum and focus on living your life and hopefully buying your dream car. Your ramblings and apparent dreaming are disconcerting.

If you love it please just buy it.
