I want to visit the oc shop.... BUT THERES A HITCH

You could make use of a website called google, I believe it is available in Wales too - here are some examples that will both answer your questions and perhaps show you how to use google in future:

What is uber?

Where are the stations near OCUK? Well their post code is available on the website - hint - click on the map, zoom out and look at the nearby stations:

How do I book a train ticket?

hope this helps :)

Ouch buddy, Uber isn’t readily available 30 miles outside London let alone North Wales! Be nice!

Ive been to the shop a few times last week.

Saw one bloke with a whole system with a RTX card and chuck it in the back of a taxi!

Then I sat on the car park and was amused as a chap wheeled out a gaming chair in this huge box on a set of wheels. He opened his boot, struggled like crazy to get the box off the wheels and onto the rim of his boot... only for it not to fit...

You can get free haribo from the shop as well.

The chaps on the counter are pretty good :)

I measure the time taken for an order to appear on the counter in packets of Haribo :D

As others have said, the shop is more of a trade counter than a shop. Plenty of glass cabinets full of stuff you don't want. Staff on the desk very helpful though.

When OCUK moved to their new (current) location, there was a heavy marketing emphesis on the new 'shop'. I had visions of walking into something like ASDA, except stocked with IT components, alas after my first visit, I left disappointed.

I'm not slating OCUK though. About 10-12 years ago, walked in, bought a few hundred pounds of components. Asked if they did [organisation I worked for at the time] discount. The guy on the counter had to check, then down came a manager, who I now believe to be Spie, and knocked a fair chunk off my order. The reason I still shop there now.

Things may be different since I last visited though. I prefered the previous location as it was easier to get to from the M6.

I order online now as I get free postage and generally can wait a day or two for the stuff I need.

Took my stepson there to buy a PC about 18 months ago. Was served by a bloke who seemed happy for us to buy the first things I suggested and couldn’t wait for us to leave.

I was expecting an interaction that never came..no attempt to sell whatsoever.

Aren't you ST3 and not the superior ST4? Hang on, is this how post-code wars start?

I have to cycle from ST3 into ST4 every working day, it makes me feel posh.

He probably thought you knew what you wanted which has always been the case with the majority of people who walk through the doors because they are geeks.
Did you bother to ask his advice?
