Damn, And you thought our New Builds were bad

what idiot decides to build 700 at the same time? why not build 50 then start selling and building at the same time? doing it in stacks of 50. unless of course this was the initial phase of 70,000 of them

But all just plonked down right next to one another and all exactly the same!

Isn't that that not the same with all new builds these days? Every house builder will have maybe 3 or 4 or 5 different house styles which they build the same of on every new estate they are building everywhere in the country.

yes but even that variety of 5 or 6 will break it all up.

the house to the left of me doesn't have an attached garage and is smaller. the house to the right is semi detached and the same as the one it's joined onto. the houses next to them are also semi-detached. the one across the road is larger with attached garage. they all look different until you move down the street and the same houses pop up again. the variety helps to stop them all looking the same even though most of them are.

Yup, I'm not a big fan of new estates like that. Though they do at least mix it up a bit... and those 4 or 5 different house types will have different variations too.

There might well be a few different variations of "the Oxford" with double or single garages, positioned on the side by the kitchen or detached and back a bit or perhaps at the rear of the gardens with a different approach etc... and different combinations of windows at the sides depending on the adjacent houses etc..

The gardens tend to be a bit too small IMO on new builds, unless you end up with a corner plot then they can be ok-ish.

I'm more outraged by the number of photographs required to accompany the article. I reckon I got the idea with the first two.

Look at all these houses that look the same, look at all these pictures that look the same. The irony was strong that day.

Looks like a 4 yearolds attempt at a city building game.

Would be a nightmare to find your own house......

PMSL!

Even worse: imagine you've gone out clubbing. It's now 3AM. You're high on drugs / booze. You have to knock on 85 doors before you find your own door.

I really need to play Age of Empires again.

"Wololo" :D I preferred AOE II but both games were great.

Now that's an idea for the 3D printing industry. Upload the castle's blueprint, then print the castle all over Turkey.

Then in Age of Empires II, go into the diplomacy menu and change your stance from neutral to enemy then watch all those arrows fly. The Turk's Janissaries will have no chance :D
