going waaaaayyyyyyyy back in this thread, and going even further back in your own posts.....

Now I know this linked thread will only be seen by OcUK staff, so if Necessitor, you would like what I'm quoting from it reomoved from public view, please say so and I will make sure it will be....

I have removed real names as I hope you can understand.

The staff at OcUK want to make sure that customers get the best solution we reasonably think we can. From my own experience I have to work within a budget, and while I would love to have an 8-Pack system, I know that I couldn't afford one, and wouldn't get the benefit of it over a "decent" gaming rig personally given my own use. Myself and colleagues in the shop will try to give honest advice rather than trying to "upsell". However, we are a lmited resourse. We have decent experience and will do our very best to try and help resolve issues where we can, but we are not the oracle of delphi to have every answer to every question. If this lets you down, we are sorry.

We will be happy to try and assist you if you chose to come into the shop again, but if you feel let down that we couldn't resolve your issue in this instance, we understand if you chose to seek these answers elsewhere.

Best Regards.

I hold my hands up. You got me.:p
No, do not remove it from public view. Brilliant!
Very impressed with the detective work and also I stand by what I said then. Also 'Stephen'? (the one that looks like D, Bowie) was terrific. He deserves a mention.
As said, I support Overclockers. There are many posts on the clansite like that. Feel free to print them.
Bought a lot of stuff from Overclockers over the years. All been good especially the RX 580 8GB Devil. Now that is awesome.

maybe just me -
I found initial post disingenuous, but maybe it was unintentional, use of inflammatory language 'refused politely', accompanied then, by pleas that thread was to try and improve the 'process', but with the best possible intentions.

It's almost as if the whole thread is a load of rubbish and the OP is just taking the mick now.

Nice. If I may also add, stunning logic. It was unintentional. I tried to repair possibly incurring more damage along the way. Top marks to you.

incidentally, I had to look 'disingenuous' up, Professor.

One who knows, but doesn't know that he knows... He is fast asleep, so you should wake him up!

Correct. It's all rubbish. I expected just one maybe two replies. It got out of hand. Sometimes that happens. However perhaps my sense of humour appears to you as 'taking the mick'...which I was not doing.
Why the name 'Diddums'? It puzzles me.

Overclockers sells hardware, not software except operating systems. Its not in her remit to know software fixes etc
The lady that served you is very knowledgeable with hardware and networking. As previously mentioned
they are a hardware shop.
One last suggestion, marry a geek for ALL COMPUTER RELATED issues. (worked for me) :D

Oh so it was you who didn’t know about software even though it’s a hardware shop? How very dare you not tell this human being how to resolve software issues. Shame on you.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?

I can't imagine why they would want to get involved any deeper than that to be honest. I guess a friendlier approach would've helped but it's not their concern or responsibility if the hardware is still working.

Thanks for the advice. Yes, he has. When he brings it around I'll fix it. Just can't do it over a shared screen.
Yes, I agree. Think their idea of the little box on the right lower side when you first go in on their site is better. My idea was stupido. I hold my hands up. What was I thinking?
Yes.....I wasn't. :D
