Merge of WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram. EURGH!

Which is odd considering WhatsApp is literally related to Facebook...?

Yes, they both want to sell ads to you. I have no problem with that. Better an ad I would want to see than a random ad. Facebook of course, does lots of other shady stuff.

Apple just want to make their money by charging you more.

Even better no ads! Both use the data they have about you to manipulate and influence what you see. I would prefer the internet to not be filtered and controlled by google or Facebook; the internet should be open.

Why is is funny?

**EDIT** Anyway, it's not value it less than money, I know it has a value, I get it's value in services

Out of interest, which do you fit into -

a) Never use YouTube
b) pay for YouTube

You don't know why people would use YouTube?

At this point I can see you're just trolling. I shan't be replying any more. Thanks for the giggles you've given me.

Why would people use YouTube? Watching content is boring. A bit like how watching tv is boring. I read, game and go outdoors. I don’t waste my time passively viewing content.

Television and YouTube are why most of the population are brain dead zombies.

Presumably you NEVER get involved in anything where you can learn by watching an explanatory video on YouTube?
Presumably you know and understand everything without watching a documentary on TV?

And yet you find "Gameing" to be a worthwhile investment of your time?

You say that you "go outdoors" - clearly not often enough.

No? Gaming requires thought and initiative.

I definitely go out often enough, thanks all the same for being concerned about my welfare.

Do people still use Facebook?
I stopped using Facepest a few years ago. I login about once a month and then immediately log back out when i realise that i really dont care about someones boring ugly child or what they had for dinner last night...
I certainly dont use messager but i do use Whatsapp a lot.

Ive recently changed my job and gone back to building and actually started using my phone as a phone again and speaking to people on it with my voice... Its a strange feeling but im sure ill get used to it :D

I watch you tube to get an idea on how to do something that im unsure about..... You tube has great instruction videos, you just have to sort the wheat from the chaff.

I've looked at Wire and it seems Ok, but you have to wonder how they make money?

Never use services where how they generate income isn’t transparent! If they don’t disclose their business model and the algorithms they use to pigeon hole you, it probably means they are doing something you won’t like or agree with.

It tells you right on their website. They sell Pro accounts to enterprise with conference video calling features, in a similar way to Slack. They don't pigeon hole anyone; they're GDPR compliant, based in Switzerland, and you can sign up anonymously with a throwaway email address if you wish. No tracking, no ads, nothing. Basically a European version of Signal.

Great, at least they are clear and transparent about their business model and any algorithms they use
