Hi all, Im thinking about finally upgrading my system.
I'll most likely be buying a RYZEN 7 EIGHT CORE 1800X or.. AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Gen 2
processor but looking for recommendations on motherboard to go with it. I want to still with the ASUS ROG boards but looking between the 3 of the best to get for reliability + performance.

The three ive got in mind are

ROG STRIX X370-F GAMING AMD X370

ROG STRIX X470-F GAMING AMD X470

ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero AM4 X370

Any recommendations on these or any other boards i should be looking at? around £180 thanks

TBH, i suspect a 2700x with an MSI B450 carbon AC would be about the same price, and give better performance
and the 2700x also comes with a cooler, which if you're not using, can sell to recoup the difference (or more)

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £455.48 (includes shipping: £10.50)

Hi, I would go with the following combo:
AMD Ryzen 7 Eight Core 2700X and ASUS ROG Strix X470-F AMD motherboard.

The Asus motherboard is really good, and if you check some reviews compares well when it comes to gaming performance with the Crosshair, which is almost a 100 Euro more expensive.

So close to the Ryzen3000 launch schedule, i would not be upgrading. what 3 or 4 months away, surely you can wait?

But i agree, the MSI b450 gaming carbon pro AC is a great board.

The strix orbital recommended is also a great board.

Asus and decent VRM. Not something you hear everyday :D

No, and ASUS made it very hard to get that board, so far via Spire- asus distributor and no UK/EU reviews of that board for what I can see

technically its a mammoth of a board ( take notes this is what X570 boards will be like)
